I am 60 years old and I have become A Jinjer fan. I have always been into metal. The last big concert I went to was Monsters of Rock in 1987 in Germany, I was never a big fan of growling till Jinjer blew me away with Tatiana and her vocals. I bought my first Jinjer CD. Rock on.

You've got a couple years on me but same here. Did not take long at all for me to start buying their songs.

I'm a 50 year old long time metal head. Got into Jinjer a couple of years ago. Saw them live here in South Africa last year May. One of the best live shows I have seen.

"It's really growing on me." Join the club. I'm another old fart that thought "metal" began an ended with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Used to hate growls... HATE them. Jinjer and Tati (mostly Tati) have changed all that for me. Bought a bunch of their songs and have even checked out a few other bands but Jinjer is still my favorite by far. It helps that the boys are super tight and they are always mixing up styles in their songs.

I'm not a huge fan of harsh vocals, and I have a very short list of bands that I tolerate them in. Jinjer, Leprous, Opeth, and Gojira are the four.

@@HollowGolem Interesting... thanks. Tati has expanded my horizons and I'm slowly branching out but nothing has caught my interest yet. I'll try those other bands you like.

I'm in the club. Grew up on Zeppelin, Hendrix, Steppenwolf, Santana etc. Hated screaming and thrash metal. Now it's the only music I find interesting. Bands like Tool, Jinjer, Gojira, Slipknot, etc. are what I seek. The trashy synth music of the 80s killed part of my brain.

As you might be able to tell from my username, I don't normally entertain screams/growls either.... but what Tatiana does is *so* impressive it's kinda undeniable. All 4 of them show technical excellence, and can hit solid grooves even with really angular proggy timings. Also, considering English is a 2nd or 3rd language for them, they put a lot of natively-English-speaking bands to shame lyrics-wise, whether sung, screamed, or growled! ;)

Yes, I find Tati's lyrics to be uncommonly good. Even if she were a native English speaker.

I, too, am a gettin' old fart. I'll be 50 in Oct. I didn't think metal ended with Zepplin, in fact, it didn't start yet. lol And here we are today. Jinjer is a *great* metal band. One of the greatest in their very early career. I rarely say things like some new band is great. In fact, I think I've only said it a couple times in my life, Dream Theater was one of them, and I was right about them, too, 27 years ago when I found them. lol Jinjer is phenomenal. Period. As for the growling thing. When I first heard Lamb of God, the thought that went through my head was, "I'm never going to listen to this shit." and it was because of the growling. Then I realized that music and singing didn't end with my opinion and I opened my mind and here I am about 18 years later, loving the shit out of Lamb of God, and thankfully, now Jinjer. This band is a diamond in the rough, and we can't allow them to get lost. ;) If that's even possible now, even in this pandemic with a retard for President. lol Open your mind, bud. You love this stuff and the only thing standing in the way is your perception of the growling. It's not the devil, it's music, in a tone you're not used to. ;) Enjoy. :P MORE JINJER!
