Thanks for the review I watch and get alot of good tips from most of your vids. I was foundering if you've had any personal dealings with dog's customer service because I purchased an aegis and it wasn't opening properly after a month or so. I sent it in for service and I called about a week and a half later they said it was being processed. A month goes by with no word so I contacted them back only to be told there was no record of my knife. Do you have any thoughts on there customer service.

Hey Nutn After watching your original 1740 review years ago I went online & bought a 1740BLK & Skyline 1760. I still have both blades & they have both served me well. My 1740BLK is the black version & the clip is also black, not sure why they haven't done it for this 1745BLK. I've since added a Spyderco Tenacious after watching your reviews & these knives are easily becoming a rarity in Australia since they are now banned from import. Thank you for the help over the years. Keep it up. - Justin

The clip on it like some other Kershaws is ment to mimic the handle shape. It goes with the line of the knife, just look at the speed/spec bumb same type of mimicking there on there clips as well

He does it to test the "toughness" of the blade, basically the hardness of the steel.

My 1745 has a blackend clip, I wonder why yours doesn't. Also my flipper piece is also blackend.

I do agree with you, on an earlier post. Kershaw blades really starting to look the same. I own few of them, and they are great blades, but for that sec type of cool. I think they are missing the boat. Just my 2cents.

Man i got my compound and asset off woot.Both serrated though.I was wiping down the asset barely caught a serration with my finger sliced it good..But i wish i had the straight edge version

i would love to try to get my hands on one of those TNP custom blades! i tried and never could buy one of those desert dragon spydercos from back in the day. those were sick! any blade you go to all the work to do a custom run duracoat job will be freakin sweet i have not a shadow of a doubt.

I agree with you on the clip it just looks like it does not belong, like they had a whole bunch left over and just needed a knife to stick them on. I do think it has those classic lines though and is super attractive. Still waiting on a review of the Kershaw Rogue!

If you're looking for a special Skyline, Bladeforums is doing a limited edition now, it's S30V, FFG, blue G10 :) ...it's not exactly cheap tho. Also it has nothing to do with Nutn :D

too bad they've discontinued the nrg's. its one of my go-to edc choices, esp when i can't legally carry blades longer than 3in. they did a green for a limited run. maybe if they would have done some more colors, sales would have been better.

I gotta say, I'm surprised this knife made the TNP Tabletop cut. I'm assuming it was because of the improvements Kershaw made to it. In that case, due diligence on your part for following up. I don't like the blocky scales/liners/overall shape to it. That's the way Kershaw has gone lately, and I am not diggin' it, for the most part, and I consider myself a dedicated Kershaw owner/fan. The time given to this blade is indicative of its worth, IMO. Nice in a comparative role, as you say. Thx!

The clip looks like it would blend with the shape of the scales better in the tip down carry. Personally I don't usually like clips and take them off at the first chance, personal choice but in the U.K. it doesn't do to advertise you are carrying a knife. Yes the knife (and gun) laws suck over here but you learn to work round them.

Clip sucks hard, total crap... Don't like hollow grind blades at all, blade shape is nice though. They could save a lot of weight if they made that rear Zytel spacer into 3 small piller spacers, and removed the right Steel liner entirely, leaving the left for the liner lock. If they did that, i'd give them as gifts.
