The cryo 1 started it all for me. It was the most expensive knife that I had ever I purchased. Ithought that $30 was outrageous. The Bel Air that I bought was only $100 more. When I got around to purchasing a live wire I will actually have all of the knives that you spoke of.

Same, I'm so in love with the wave that when I carry all my other knives, I sometimes forget and am a bit disappointed when I find the blade hasn't already deployed coming out of my pocket.

I carried a brawler for my first 4 years as a police officer. Cut through seatbelts, ropes, clothing, rubber… it was awesome. I still have it, just usually carry my benchmade barrage now instead, the edge retention is a little better .

The first knife that I bought for myself was the launch 11, and I have absolutely loved it. I'm looking to get a new knife soon though, and I'm having trouble deciding between the launch 8, which I absolutely love, or the Bel Air which comes with a Magnacut blade.

If they ever made a Blur without the Trac-Tec I’d be all over that. Something a bit more refined or just straight up full aluminum scales. It’s a great knife. My first folder way back when.

I have the AM4. Love the size and blade shape but there’s been tons of blade play and some rattling inside the knife since about a month of use.

I noticed on your website, that the blade thickness of the Bel Air is 0.89". It must be a small axe.

I bought the Iridium excited that Kershaw finally had a good lock bar knife with aluminum handles, but the more I carry, the more I wash the handles had some real texture and not the matte finish. I really hope someone makes some aftermarket scales for it or something but it's unfortunately slippery of your hands are wet or just your natural oils or if your hands are clammy.

Anyone seen the true knife MAAR? Found it at a local gun shop. Stone washed black sheep’s foot/cleaver d2steel blade black g10 scales. Very similar in size to the kizer sheepdog xl. Definitely worth a look. A diamond in the rough. Definitely a tank of a knife.

The only objection I have to Kershaw is that I refuse to buy any of their knives that are made in China. Look at the blade area next to the handle’s finger stop, it’ll say China on one side of the knife (see first knife knife demo’d in this video as a reference… barely see it, but it’s next to his right index finger when he grips it with his right hand as he flips the other side (pocket clip side)). They do have a portion of their knives that are made in the United States but, once again, I’m not going to pay for something they pawn off overseas. Like their DECISION to make cheap knives with Chinese low quality metals, I think everybody should have the understanding that we the people should also make our personal DECISION to buy “quality” from Kershaw; which they do with their American knives.
@jaxuga8 ай бұрын
Whatever floats your boat. I can appreciate a company that looks out for all the customers from all different walks of life. Not everybody can afford to buy those American made knives so it's nice they look out for their customers and make cheaper knives that will still get the job done. Heck pretty much every knife that Bladehq puts on their website has a country of origin in the description. So their customers can be well informed on what they are buying. Go troll somewhere else.

I guarantee you have things in your home that are made in China you don't even know. 😅
@RealR.J.8 ай бұрын
Just picked up the Iridium with M390 in carbon fiber that was made in china and it’s the best Kershaw I’ve handled. It’s much higher quality than my fellow carbon fiber leek and carbon fiber skyline. The tolerances on the crossbar lock are tighter than any Benchmade I’ve handled, and I’m a fanboy of that brand. Tightest lockup and smoothest action I’ve experienced on this type of knife. I highly recommend consumers don’t allow themselves to be blinded by inequitable biases and enjoying all the excellent models they offer. Kershaw has been crushing it all around recently!

>chinese low quality materials its an old meme that 'made in china' means bad quality. This doesnt apply so easily to knives anymore. You have a lot of usual cheap stuff that small companies rebrand as their own, but calling the big knife companies from there bad is silly or malicious. Claiming a knife is bad because mUh cHiNa in current times points to speakers lack of experience or politically biased buying tendencies. As they say, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proofs. Thats how you get overpriced aus8 linerlock knives that rely on 'uSa mAdE' to justify the pricetag, which is even further exarcebated if you happen to buy USA brands in europe(additional costs of shipping, customs and taxes).
