Thanks again for this review... I had to try two suppliers before I could get this knife delivered to me in Canada. It arrived today and this is already easily one of my favorite knives! The blade shape and sharpeness are great, awesome blackwash finish, and the fit in my hand is excellent. So happy that GearObsession pointed me to this knife!

I have one comment about the "slow opening" on the cryo blackwash series and that is that it needs a short break in time of about 2-4 days of playing with it before it gets nice and loose. mine was extremely stiff ootb and actually hurt my thumb to open and especially close the blade. after about two days of non stop deploying it, it loosened up nicely. I did however have to center my blade and adjust and loctite the pivot screw as mine was not a perfect one. after all of that though, its a dream to use. hated it at first but now love it to death. especially the looks.

Just received mine Sept 1 from Amazon Prime Now. I really like it. Fit and finish is very nice. I already changed the located the clip for left pocket EDC. I do recommend it for the money.

Score a cryo 2. After many reviews this was my choice. About 50 percent lockup. I did push this to full lockup and as the knife breaks in I hope it goes to full lockup.The milled out portion of the frame lock appears to be thin. I hope that heavy use does not product. a weak lockup at the base of the frame lock. Other then that I feel it is a great knife. Some say a bit heavy...but in a self defense role...hope I never use it for that, I welcome the additional weight.

I love both my Cryo I & II. I have yet to purchase the tanto or blackwash variants. But my EDC would have to be my brawler. Something about it makes me feel like a ninja haha.

thanks again your video. (thanks for including a lefty reference ) but as a lefty the lock side is up and easy to keep your thumb off the lock bar. (learned this from my ZT 0808) so it easier for a lefty. . buy the way brought the knife after seeing a small Cryo and your video. guys like you are the knife companys best salesmen

hey Fred Happy Christmas to you and your wife and any kids you have. Just wanted to let you know I picked up one of those Ganzo knives the G704G I just got it in the mail. I also picked up a CRKT Ryan Knife and a Krenshaw/Emerson Knife. I like them all but I was impress with the Ganzo knife it was super sharp and it opened like a dream. smooth with a snap. the other ones I had to touch up the blades and strop them. plus put some oil on the joints they were stiff and would not open easy.

Been EDCing this knife for a while now, it stays sharp, the finish doesn't wear out, I actually tried to make it unassisted for fun but it is not working at all and I really do not recommend it after trying. It also is somewhat hard to rebuild. However, great knife for the money, still does the paper test with great success course to 6 months after getting it but it's not under heavy use. I only cut cardboard, paper, plastic bags, stuff like that. Love the shape, the assist is crazy, I however do not like the thumb stud deployment, it is kind of dangerous. Seems like it deploy so quickly it puts my thumb in the way of the blade. Great video as always and merry Xmas!

Just wondering if anyone could answer a question for me? I just sharpened my Cryo for the first time and it seems like it's a little "gummed" up maybe. Maybe from oil or grit?? It's suddenly a lot slower opening than it was before. Is there some sort of degreaser or cleaner I can spray into it that won't damage any parts? Or do I have to take the knife apart? I was hoping I didn't have to go to that extreme.

Mark Sage You can try spraying some Break-Free Powder Blast Gun Cleaner-Degreaser and then a couple of drops of oil.

This has happened to me to. The best way to fix the first problem is to get an air compressor and spray the air in the area where the blade pivots on the handle when you are done spraying( spray for about 2 min.) Lubericate with wd40. Works every time.
