You may have been told this already but all Kershaw speed safe uses the torsion bar. It does not use a spring and this is why its so easy to de-assist them

Love my Cryo. S30V Blur is nice as well. In my experience, Kershaw has always delivered high quality products for a price that is hard to beat.

the torsion bar on mine broke after about 2 months of light-medium usage...then i forgot about it for about a year and decided to email kershaw to see if i could get a replacement torsion bar. they sent me out a new one right away, so that's good. it's a good knife overall, hopefully the new torsion bar won't break so fast.

My cryo is my edc and I really like it. Only problem I had was the spring breakin. Kershaw fixed it under warranty. I would pay more for a US made version.

I love this knife. I bought 2. This is my EDC. I like that it is a bit heavier. It feel sturdy and solid in my pocket. Just got the second one recently on ebay for $25 with free shipping.

picked mine up at big 5 for $25 dollars, opening this knife feels amazing, and for $25 this knife feels like a must own, feels like amazing quality for that price, the only thing i kinda dont like is that speed safe torsion bar or whatever it is, wants to stop the blade while trying to close it, and i wasnt expecting that and actually cut myself while trying to softly close it one handed the way i do most of my knives

You can get very good Hinderer Designs in the Zero Tolerance Knives. They are as cheap as $150

One thing that bugged me was the blade wasn't centered when closed. I loosened the screws on mine and centered the blade.

I had one of these when they first came out, but I thought it was too small for my hands. So I got rid of it. BladeHQ had them for $25 so I ordered another to give it another shot. PreOrdered the Cryo 2 because it was larger.

All screws got loose after a week of daily use. Mainly cutting ropes, opening boxes and slicing through thick plastics. Idk maybe it's just mine

I've heard reports that the retaining screws for the clip are soft, and when trying to re-mount to, say, RH tip down, the screws just 'round out'. What are your thoughts? Thanks for posting by the way. Love your channel and have subscribed. :)

that is a great deal on what looks to be a great knife.. i have pocket knifes that were 80 bucks that are no where near that nice.. also I have started to check out the rest of your channel and videos. i found you threw the e vapors, ( i don't like calling them, e cigs, esp like in your case you use zero nic, how is that even considered a cigarette or even a tobacco device???) but I really enjoy your reviews and videos.. keep up the great work..

Blade too small for my liking. I prefer the kershaw blur in s30v...3.4 inch blade. Twice the price but a lot more blade in much better steel and tackier grip. And the speed safe does use a torsion bar.

Hey fred, nice video but i just want to state my opinion that your knife reviews are achually more of "OVERVIEWS" because of the fact that you don't have prior use on the knife. With use you find certain problems with some knives that you cant perceive rite out of the box(hotspots with hard use, bad heat treatment ect.) Anyways not hating i watch all your videos just thought i'd state my opinion.
