Kershaw TX Tool Review / One Tool to Rule your Knives?

My T6 got twisted. It still worked but at the price of the TX I just bought another. One thing I can't stand is the size of the Phillips head bit. It's basically a precision screwdriver but the Phillips is massive. If they made that a more slender tip it would create a truly great tool.

I had went through two other T6 bits on other units that were of lesser quality and renderer useless or dangerous.

Twisted T6s is a normal thing. The only way I've found to extend the life of that size is to purchase them from Wiha or Bondhus. Those two brands are much better than most. Thanks for watching and have a great evening!

after blowing out 3 or 4 cheap t6's, I bought a set of Wihas. They're very good. How does Bondhus compare in price quality and design? How much would it cost Kershaw to case harden or do what ever needs to be done to make a stronger torx tool.

+rustyvavles don't know the cost to harden for Kershaw, probably not much. The Bondhus drivers is priced between the cheap stuff and Wiha with quality comparable to Wiha, maybe a tic better. But, they are harder to get a hold of, there's only a couple suppliers in the US, that I've found. I usually purchase them off eBay or Amazon, same seller.

The styling is sharp on that tool. Now I kinda wish they would use the same styling on one of their knives. I have the same Pittsburg set. Bought a magnetic tray to go with it for those jobs. I hate spending a weekend on the floor searching for tiny hardware.

At some point, I'll do a video of the bunker. Right now it's a mess, with everything torn apart to do the floor and build some furniture, but it's slowly coming back together.

Sure and while you're at it get a set of the Bondhus, flag or T handled torx. They have served me better than any other brand, even Wiha. Thanks for watching and go ride those Honda's before, freeze your butt off weather gets here!

It was bought at Harbour Freight, Part numbers are useless there as they change regularly. You can get a similar set most anywhere, Amazon has several.
