Nope, it's the cathartic scream that helps this song reach an even more powerful climax. Yep, what an attention-seeking move. Y'all, seriously? Get the fuck outta here. EVERYONE WHO KEEPS SAYING THAT SHE DIDNT HIT THE HIGH NOTE ITS HER SONG SHE CAN DO WHATEVER THE FRICK SHE WANTS. She also said that it took her 10ish tries to get the high note in the studio. This is a live performance she only has one try and she wants to wait until she masters it so she doesn't mess up the whole performance with on note.
@emilya.stroman36977 жыл бұрын
Even if she does "master" it, you're never going to hit a note like that reliably all the time. Especially when she goes on tour, she'll be singing so often that her voice is going to get fatigued. You'll notice that many touring singers tune songs down or improvise lower melodies because doing it night after night takes its toll on your vocal cords. Talent can't overcome pure physiology, and a singer needs to know their voice.

This song is just evidence that if you work kindly on yourself, you don't have to hold onto the past so tightly. You can let it go. Sure it's not gone forever, but it's like a balloon, tied to your person. It follows you, you don't follow it.❤ Kesha is currently saving my life.

@@Bibblesupremacy1992 That is true, I was just saying it's a good song to help you get past troubling times. For those of you talking about her not hitting the high note- Kesha went on in an interview talking about how it took her ten times in the studio to hit that note for the album version. Try hitting that note it's really hard lol. Some people can do it sometimes and not others. All it means is her range is just on the cusp of allowing her to hit it. Nothing wrong if she doesn't want her voice to crack live, she said it did the first nine times she tried it in studio. Idk what you guys are hearing bc I think she sounds absolutely amazing. Amazing babe x

This is what I think about the people that criticize Kesha's performance because she don't hits the high note. Remember singing is not about having the most powerful voice and always hitting the high note. It's more important to express emotions in music, feeling the melody, being passionate when you perform, sending a message across your music, connecting with your crowd. This is to make a type of anthem that will support your fans and yourself. In music is important to using your pain to create art, remember that the most beautiful masterpieces in the world were born across the sadness, the pain, emotional struggles, the darkness, vulnerable feelings, the grief and your strength. 🌟💖

Artists are NEVER in charge of whether auto tune is used on their vocals in a track. That's the producer's call. I have no idea why people think the singer themselves uses autotune.

John Trevett you're exactly right! people are so numb to this mockery. I've never even heard of her until someone showed me the video of this song which is shot at salvation mountain, a place I go to often, I met Leonard Knight, makes me sick they let this blasphemy take place there, Leonard is no longer with us but 27 years of devotion building that mountain, and Hollywood comes in and kicks down a few bucks to the current caretakers saying it's a good thing? makes me so sad for Leonard, and kids think she's praying to God? Ya right maybe praying to the Illuminati or like you said the beast. glad to know at least a few people can see right through this act. God bless

I remember hearing this when it was first release (this exact live version). It puts to shame the studio release. And 6 years on I go back to it because like a real good film it moves you. Not in a religious way, but with pure emotion and art in it's best form. The layered instrument introduction and the drums only when needed not only compliment Kesha's vocals (perhaps the best I've ever heard her sing) but add weight and emotion I'd not seen from her before. For thos who are struggling, had loss, or are dealing with a mental chalange, know this - Pain is hard and it's scary, but boy does it build strength and resilience like nothing else can. When you come out the other side, and you will.... thats when you truely know who you are and what you're truly capable of.

I started reading hateful comments about her performance on twitter, facebook, etc. A google search brought me to an amazing song, a song sung with such passion and conviction, that it was all I heard during the performance. Clearly, those other people missed it entirely. I seriously had huge crocodile tears in my eyes. Girl, you nailed it!
