The punks taught us that being real was a thousand times more important than any kind of technical perfection. This song, this performance, elevated Kesha to a totally different league. No matter what happens in her life again, she took her narrative back and showed the world who she was.

I cannot even function right now. Kesha and this song has been a steady source of strength for me for a long time now, but I am absolutely wrecked to see these absolute icons singing backup with her because they fully know down in their souls what this song is about. I just watched this again. The song, and Kesha's performance, is so many emotions. Sadness, anger, revenge, resentment. But then towards the end you realize it's also about forgiveness, dignity, strength, healing and oh goodness, Kesha if you're reading this, I love you. I truly love you. You have a powerful testimony honey.
