something people don’t explain very well about the æs is that they aren’t a digital version of each aespa member. the æs are virtual characters created through a real person’s social media data. the æs are each aespa members virtual friend/companion that is directly linked to them, but each æ is their own person that can autonomously think, act, feel, etc. it’s not really touched on a lot, but the æs actually don’t have to ever know/become friends with their Real World counterpart if they do not wish to, and many æs and humans never end up meeting or becoming friends, so SYNK is a special thing because it means your æ truly wanted to meet you and make a connection

Yes, you got it! They are trying to fix the SYNK and find whatever's causing the problem in Kwangya. I'm so excited to see you react to the rest of their lore! I'm glad you're also now really interested in the storyline while also appreciating their music. aespa really is a fun group to stan because they have this entire universe created but they also release really good songs that are connected to that universe

I will explain to you about the Aespa storyline if some of you still don't understand. 1. KWANGYA means “desert”. This is an imaginative world created by SM Entertainment as a place for avatars to live in. 2. æ is an alter ego created based on uploads on social media. Ae is often interpreted as a reflection of a more perfect self and is difficult to show in the real world. 3. FLAT is the place where ae is when they are not on earth. 4. KOSMOS is the next point that must be achieved after defeating Black Mamba. This term is mentioned in aespa's song "Next Level". 5. Naevis is an acronym for navigation and ae. At SMCU, Naevis is an ae figure who can help open portals and lead the way. 6. SYNK is a term that refers to how and when ae connect with their human counterparts. SYNK OUT means they can't come to nvata world. 7. POS This stands for Port of Soul, which is a portal that connects FLAT with the real world. POS can also be a door for ae to enter KWANGYA.

the aes are them created thru social media which is like the perfected them, you know how you interpreted unhappy? exactly that one, people making their own persona thru sns. i think it'll be discussed in ep2. also you kinda missed their SYNK intro which was released before debut. that introduced their own characters. like winter being an armamenter.

You should watch the SYNK videos (they were released just before their debut) to know more about the girls' relationships with their 'ae's. This is the order: 1. MY, KARINA 2. SYNK, WINTER 3. SYNK, GISELLE 4. SYNK, NINGNING 5. SYNK, KARINA I also recommend a look on the 'SMCU Origin' to understand where the Kwangya storyline fits in the larger SM universe (which englobes the other artists concepts as well). It's less than 2mins video).

Yeah! The synk videos take place before black mamba causes the synk out. Also, I forgot about the SMCU origin video. That one is very confusing, but is very important!

The group name, aespa, combines the English initials of "avatar" and "experience" (Avatar X Experience) with the English word "aspect", meaning "two sides" to symbolise the idea of "meeting another self (AE) and experiencing the new world (REKALL). The first villain is Black Mamba. Winter destroyed the energy source or heart of Black Mamba in Girls MV. There would be a new villain in the next MV and SMCU film. Upon releasing the Spicy MV on Monday.

their powers are actually explained on one of their bside calles aenergy! as the lyrics says: karina rocket puncher (basically having super punch), winter armamenter (good at handling guns and swords), gisellw got xenoglossy (language expertise), ningning ed hacker (not too sure what ed means but yeah)

Smcu with the movie quality and all the comics too are the highlight of aespa. It's so important to watch it to get what their lore is then you can understand their music and mvs well. But unfortunately only aespa fans bother and everyone else just understands ai and kwangya that's it 😅

Ok so an explanation of the various terms used in their songs and lore: FLAT- It is the place where the aes and naevis reside in KWANGYA- It is a different dimension which holds no form and the place where the black mamba is. REAL WORLD- It is our real world where we humans all live SYNK- It is the connection between aes and humans, basically the thing that helps they 'sync' with each other and interact Naevis- She is the person who can open the gate to the kwangya and is basically like the protector SYNK OUT- The disconnection between aes and humans due to the hacking by black mamba As for the members roles in the smcu lore: Karina- she is the rocket puncher literally Winter- Armamenter, she basically uses a sword to fight with the black mamba Giselle- Xenoglossy, ie the one who excels with languages Ningning- Ed hacker who is basically a hacker and has a very cool computer screen which she can make appear anywhere
