Dr. John Krystal is the Robert L. McNeil, Jr., Professor of Translational Research; Professor of Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Psychology; Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University; and Chief of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Krystal is a leading expert in the areas of alcoholism, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and depression. His work links psychopharmacology, neuroimaging, molecular genetics, and computational neuroscience to study the neurobiology and treatment of these disorders. He is best known for leading the discovery of the rapid antidepressant effects of ketamine in depressed patients.
He directs/co-directs the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (CTSA), NIAAA Center for the Translational Neuroscience of Alcoholism, and Clinical Neuroscience Division of the National Center for PTSD (VA).
Dr. Krystal is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine; co-director of the Neuroscience Forum of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine; Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); and editor of Biological Psychiatry, one of the most selective and highly cited journals in the field of psychiatric neuroscience.
He is the co-founder and Chief Scientific Advisor of Freedom Biosciences, a clinical-stage biotechnology platform developing next-generation ketamine and psychedelic therapeutics that recently emerged from stealth in August 2022.

I've been taking sublingual Ketamine for the past few months. I'm up to 300mg per experience. I feel like the walls of depression are coming down! BTW I'm 66 years old.

I have been taking ketamine also from “ Better U “ . The sublingual troches are 400 mg each. You can either spit the drug out after about 15 minutes or swallow. Much stronger “ trip “ to swallow. Have had epiphanies and revelations during first couple of trips but not so much after 6-8 trips. What have y’all been experiencing?

*3 Forms of Hallucinogens:* 1. *Psychedelics* (LSD, Shroom, Cacti, DMT, etc.) 2. *Dissociatives* (K, DXM or cough medicine, inhalants, etc.) 3. *Deliriants* (Benadryl, Brugmansia-Datura or hell's bells/angels trumpets/devils trumpets/jimson weed/devils breath, etc.) Then there's hallucinogens that have a more unique class like Salvia, which would probably be like a Psychedelic-Dissociative maybe?

id consider salvia an atypical dissociative. some call it an atypical psychedelic and it is much brighter than classic dissociatives but it has more in common with classic dissos than with a classical psychedelic.

Yep. Nothing psychedelic to me at all. Even high doses. "Indica cocaine" as they put it, is almost opioid like to me in low doses, and very detaching (dissociation) at higher doses

My 2nd treatment of Spiriva made me very sick. I never tripped, just felt very drugged, incapacitated, horrible experience. I vomited for hours, migraine headache, cold sweats. I felt poisoned. Weaning off ALL my drugs. DONE!

Did you mean spravato? What you're describing sounds like it might have been a mild serotonin syndrome. It can happen rarely, especially when combined with other substances (antidepressants, pain medication, etc.).

@@DawidEstishort that doesnt sound like serotonin syndrome and SS is not somethign you would get from ketamine. this spiriva this person mentioned and probably mistook for ketamine is a bronchodilator.
