Living St. Louis producer Jim Kirchherr talks with author and St. Louis native A.E. Hotchner. Raised poor in St. Louis, Hotchner went on to a successful career as a writer, but his most personal work remains "King of the Hill," the memoir of his life as a boy growing up. Hotchner talks about how he came to write "King of the Hill," and how his early years still shape the work he does well into his 80s.

i am writing a paper on Mr. Hotchner at the University of WIndsor, Ont. Canada. I chose him after finding a link to view "King of the Hill" - a film I watched as a child and for some reason never forgot. Amazing film, and admirable character.
