I recommend making these into donut holes if you have kiddos they make a perfect snack and dessert also if you like caramel I recommend these with the Lily’s sugar free chocolate salted caramel chips and top them with your fav nut absolutely delicious!!

The batter for the donuts is honestly amazing, we loved it. The chocolate glaze using Lilys was ok, I feel like a vanilla frosting or something that wasn’t a semi sweet chocolate would’ve been better to let that donut cake flavor shine. These would be great with a lemon glaze too 🤔

I just started the keto diet a couple of days ago and my first thought before starting was "I love carbs, how will I be able to live without carbs?!". Surprisingly, I haven't missed them even once since I started, because thanks to channels like this, I have been able to find tasty substitutes for just about everything "carby" that I've craved. I'm surprised that it's this easy. On that note; these donuts are definitely on my "must try"-list, they look delicious.

I wanted to like these so badly. I bought all the ingredients, the collagen was not cheap but no one ate the donuts. Gave some to my nieces but the donuts ended up on the trash. I do like your other recipies, like the Alfredo sauce, Wow so good.

My grandmother made fried “old-fashion” donuts and crullers. Do you think these donuts could be fried in a healthy oil after they’re formed in the oven to get that crispy donut texture?🤗
@babyv29920103 жыл бұрын
Maybe try to air fry it for the crisp

I'm going to have to make these. I'm thinking I see the basis for cream cheese Danish, too, in your recipe, Joe. I miss good donuts, and REALLY miss cream cheese Danish, so am going to give your recipe a "work out," so to speak. I know I'm going to want to add cinnamon to the basic recipe---my favorite spice goes into many things, including my keto spaghetti sauce!

These donuts taste great. I do have a question, though: What are you basing your nutrition info on? Using your ingredients the nutritional numbers come out to 232 cal, 19 carbs, 13 protein and 3 net carbs. Please clarify your figures. The biggest difference is the carbs (19 vs 5.5).

I had a friend visit from Texas this past two weeks and, of course, she wanted to go to our fav donut shop (Paulas). Had a coffee while she enjoyed her donut. Now I can have donuts and not feel deprived. These donuts are the bomb. I covered mine in powdered swerve and they were so delish. Thanks for the great recipe. See you around town. Here are a few from my experience: - FIBER. Get it. Eat it. It may be a carb but we discount it for a reason. You'll be in trouble intestinally if you skip it. - Portion control is king. Count not just your carbs, but your caloric intake as well. If you're an adult male of average build, shoot for 2000 calories as a daily cap. - Phone apps like MyFitnessPal are excellent for tracking your meals. Use them. It'll help you not only keep an eye on your diet, but educate you on what's actually in the food you eat. - Watch your fats! Keto may be a high-fat diet, but *saturated* fats are still bad for you. Don't eat tons of bacon and cheese, eat smart fats like avocado and almonds as a base for your meal planning. The USDA recommends a limit of 20g/d satfats to a 2k/d calorie diet. - If weight loss is your goal, eating right is only half the battle. Get yourself active. Get sweaty for three hours a week at the minimum. - Stock your pantry with all the stuff the KZbin keto chefs recommend - almond/coconut flour, psyllium husk, Swerve, etc. Most major grocery chains carry that stuff these days. Once you're more comfortable with them in the kitchen, you'll thank yourself. - Most important of all: you're going to have sad days. You might have incidents where you miss the hell out of carbs and maybe even cry a little. It's fine. Let yourself cry. Just don't give in. Be strong. Get the emotions out so you can keep your brain focused on your goal. You can do this.

@justmanette21523 жыл бұрын
It's common sense that you don't have to buy the brand he does or that you don't use the whole container on 6 freaking donuts. You do you. Smh
@BaronOfHell6663 жыл бұрын
Collagen is something you can use every day for many things like I use it in coffee , tea, oatmeal and so on. This is probably the 5th time I have seen him use it something. Also it is kind of silly to assume you are going to use it just for doughnuts. Even if you used it just for doughnuts the cost would have to include the number of doughnuts you can make with it using this method. That would be what 60 doughnuts or so.

You could probably fry them after you bake them so that they’re solid enough to fry. Or you could fry the batter like funnel cakes if you don’t care about donut shape.
