I lived off Hendricks Isle in 2000, one over from Isle Of Venice. I paid 450 for a studio w my back porch as the canal. Back then it was a mix of older dilapidated buildings w budget rentals. Lots of characters living in rundown houseboats using their spot for unloading Jamaican shipments 😂 one guy lived in a boat that was a fuselage from an airplane w pontoons. Oh the memories. Great location as a midway point between the beach and downtown

hey barefoot, this really takes me back because I lived next-door to Cadillac at 20 Isle of Venice for six years on my 38’ sailboat with the stern facing east sitting in a cockpit with a beer in my hand, spent endless nights on Las Olas Boulevard… we had tennis courts, a swimming pool, tiki hut bbq etc…. all for $350 a month! Of course that was in the early eighties!

Very cool houseboat! Great location, great idea. That is such a beautiful area. The food looked awesome and the tour was a lot of fun. I had heard of Mango's but never went there back then. Be careful of the iguana and crocodile!! LOL Looking forward to more!!
