Maya bay close for a few years to recover beach and coral and the environment, because of sunblock lotion and fuel from boats. After we reopen again during Covid, also baby shark coming back here. So we think it’s worth for three year closing

Beautiful trip but bro , in railey bay you’ll forget to check another two Beaches on the other side you can walk through from beach to beach . Lots of beautiful limestone, almost dropping on your head. And it is the paradise of the rock climbing..

I'm pretty sure Tom Cruise filmed there too for Knight & Day. It's beautiful 👏 It reminds me of James Bond movies and Ian Fleming's books. He lived in Asia for a while and spent time there during the wars.

The island from the Bond film "The Man With The Golden Gun" is not so far north of where he is, and it's also a bit of a tourist trap. They call it "James Bond Island".

Super ride on a Long Tail boat!!!!!!!Absolutely beautiful really paradise Maya Bay! Incredible boat ride! Too bad you’re not aloud to swim in it! Do many tourists but well organized!!!!Ohh delicious corn yum! I had some great corn when in Florida! Phi Phi is beautiful too but too shallow water. Busy tourists!!! Germans love Thailand!!!! Hey Terry, I was there with my wife in 2001 on a snorkel - scuba boat we anchored nearby the bay and I took a swim into the beach. There was a baby ruth 😂 floating by me as I pulled myself up on the swim step! No holding tanks!

I’m new to subscribe I’ve been watching your Thailand and Vietnam videos. Are you retired? And if so, are you thinking about living in Southeast Asia or when you retire are you going to maybe live in Southeast Asia? That’s actually how I found your videos is I watch bloggers learning more about Southeast Asia I’m going to retire in August 2026. Then I’m going to travel several different countries in southeast Asia. I followed enough KZbinr. I think a lot of things are going to look very familiar to me once I get there. Thanks for all the pointers and the pre-exploring that you did on video, it helps people out!!!! Maya Bay would be even better if there was no such thing as people!!!! Well, I would go out there not unless it was the off-season, and there was no one there or next to nobody out there. I hate tourist crowds.

Make sure you use mosquito repellant! They have bloodbourne fevers there. I love seeing the life there. The people are very friendly and polite. Thank you! 👏 Asia is very lush in vegetation. It looks like a paradise. They have cute animals and pet monkeys.

I thought you were going to miss the other beach at Phi Phi. It's amazing when you see it. I was first in Phi Phi a couple of years after the tsunami, and it was much less built up. Lots of foundations of buildings that were gone. I'm still hoping you went to Phra Nang cave. Its walkable from Railay and your audience would like it.

Nice video Terry and well shot. But I must say you just missed out when in Railay. There is another beach to the left hand side which is more secluded called Tonsai. you were on Railay West, had you walked through that passage were the bars were you would have ended up on Railay East which is not so much of a miss but than there is another beach called Ao Phra Nang which is beautiful and a pity that you missed out on. Google it up. Very nice of you to tip the boat man over and above the agreed price. Keep it up 👍P.S. Railay is not an island but a peninsula 😀

If you have time, I recommend you to visit Satun Geopark which is a first Thailand's UNESCO Global Geopark. It is very very beautiful and unseen Thailand. There aren't many foreign tourists.

There is an island nicknamed James Bond Island (Phang Nga Bay) but I think Thunderball was filmed in the Bahamas, not sure though.

Thanks Blu! 🙏 The water quality was the finest I had seen in Thailand. It was warm and a gorgeous green color. Florida water seems to have a bluer tint to it in my opinion. But it was very clean around all the islands I visited
