I miss Boracay... My first time I was there way back 1991 with my Jordanian boyfriend on my late 20's. The place & establishments were all locals & no hotels yet but only native huts for accomodation. There were only few restaurants & bars. What I enjoyed most was when I walked barefood because I like the feeling of the soft powdery sand massaging my feet. After 31 years I notice it grow & improve a lot turning Boracay into a first class destination for foreign & local tourist alike. I hope you have had a great time exploring the Island Terry. Wow-I thought i had energy and loved talking to the people, but you are the ultimate. I got food poisoning in Manila and i had tix to Thailand but wasn't sure I was up to it as I was still dealing with the issue-an Australian guy at my hotel said hey; don't risk taking that trip and just go to Boracay. I took his advice and was glad I did-had a great time seeing the sites you are showing, stayed at Hennan Prime, station one which to me looked liked the best spot on that beach...best view of beach and you can walk the beach or take the trikes to the other stations easy. Cool place -cool people...definitely a must see for the Philippines trip. Take the boat tour to the other islands too. You show by not being shy and interacting and having fun with the people that they respond in kind. My experience too. It is up to you, what you give is what ya get!

I've been to Boracay at least 20 times. Friend of mine used to own a hotel there. It's really nice. The thing that most impresses me about Boracay is the sunset. If you go to White Beach during sunset it's a magical experience. If you've ever seen that movie City of Angels when all of the Angels meet at the beach during the sunrise, it's kind of like that but only the Sun is setting instead of rising. Even the beach is full of people has the Sun is going down you can hear a pin drop you have that feeling like you can hear a pin drop like all time has stopped for those few moments. Also another good place to go in Boracay is Puka Beach. Also if it's still there a good place to eat on white Beach is called Jammers, it's right in the center of things. The guy that owns that place is a New Yorker. He's married to some French woman and together they own that business.

Belle, the lady who served the pizza said shes from Ibajay. Ibajay is a town of Aklan province. So Caticlan is in Malay town. Next town if you go away is Nabas and then Ibajay.

Take a look to Diniwid Beach which is the next beach north of the main beach. It is more secluded and less overrun. There is a rock you have to go around at Lambros Point from main beach to Dinivid. At this point there is a little rock in the water which is very nice for snorkeling. Say hi to the cute little sea snake I met there some years ago. Please extend my compliments to her. I hope she is doing fine.
