Ketosis is the normal state of bovine metabolism because most energy they use comes from short chained fatty acids and nearly cero carbs. The carbs are mosttly merabolized by the microbes in the cows stomachs. Clínical ketosis however is not the same as the normal state of bovine ketosis. It means very high fatmobilisation leads to increased ketone levels wich are harmfull to the animal.
