KETRON - converting Style from old arrranger (SD1, SD5 Audya) to new models (SD6, SD9, EVENT)

Cestitam za novu klavijaturu. Ipak si presao na KETRON EVENT-a. Da li i dalje ces svirati GENOS ili prelazis iskljucivo na EVENT?

Audya there was once an Englishman and he made beautiful styles and for example there was a style for the song A wither Shade of pale do you think you could still find this style and then use it at the event x?? best wishes from Luxembourg, Steve I think the name from the man was Robert Messner and he make so good styles for the Audya and if i can find this for my Event x i can pay a lot of money👍

Hello Steve, I don't actively play Ketron, so I can't help you. I have a friend who plays and I could ask him if he has a quality Style for the song A wither Shade of pale.

We can. But that doesn't make sense because the converted beat will never sound the same in different models.

Ok. You show that Event can translate a .Pat file to .Kst file. First, you can select the 3 files to be copied in only one time to the Event SSD and not proceed with 3 copy operations. But, it is not important. Once copied, have you tried to play the new Kst files ? I don't think so because many caracteristics of the original files are not accepted in the new format, unfortunately. There is no ascending compatibility, as you can find with Yamaha styles. I am a old Ketron customer and I prefer Ketron arrangers than others brands. But, this is precisely the weak of Ketron : The compatibility of the styles throughout the different models. When you buy the last model, you have a huge stuff to make to recover all your previous styles and registrations. Its my experience. Anyway, thanks to share your way of proceeding.

I've tried running KST Style and it's exactly what you're talking about. My next three videos will describe adjusting the Style. If I had checked All, I would have copied the PAT files as well, and I didn't want that.

Thanks for the video and users comments in particular you, Patrick . So, precisely, I would have questions about the conversion/link possibilities between EVENT and its predecessor SD9 : Concerning the SD9 user styles, I could copy them from the SD9"Media" page in an external usb stick, but I didn't find for the whole Factory styles. Do you know if there is a possibilty to copy them ? A download page maybe ? Is it possible to import all the SD9 factory ans user styles into the EVENT ? Can the EVENT read the SD9 styles with the "same" rendering as the SD9 ? It should not be the same rendering (?) Another interrogation : Do you know why the LAUNCHPAD has been given up in the EVENT ? Personnally, I find it is a more "modern" creative process to combine phrases and loops in a practical visual concept. I didn't work with the rec phrase yet, but it's actually a pity there is not launchpad in the EVENT. So, my personal thoughts, I'm rather embarrassed because I had a good occasion to acquire recently an EVENT, and I still have my SD9 that I whished to sell, but finally, there are in the SD9 a lot of features that I'm afraid to miss. I find in paticular that the graphical icons in the styles modeling view on the SD9 is more convenient, dynamics and transitions between sections for some equivalent styles are more fluid on the SD9... I still use SD1 plus .... @patricksarret1200 , @CasperVideo do you have any suggestions how to make my SD1 plus to sound better, is the PC connection stable, is it possible to import new styles through midi connection. Or is just better not to mess to much with it, not to waste to much time for mediocre results and just to play/perform with factory styles and sounds?
