If you set the return value to zero, the effect would not be heard. For example, if we want a piano sound to have an effect, we first send the piano signal to the DSP effect, where it is processed/changed, and then send it back to hear how it sounds now.

I have a question for those who have mastered the sx900 well. Menu 2/ Utility/ Parameter lock: Reverb is blocked for me, but reverb return level, chorus return level, variation effects(system) return level is not, when switching styles. Do you check the same thing for yourself?

"Reverb parameter lock" locks only the master Reverb type. It does not lock its levels, chorus or variation effect. Each Style has its own Master Reverb (locked with Parameter lock) and special Levels (not locked). I don't have Geno but the Tyros 5. I try setting up on my Tyros 5 similar to this video. The drum work just fine but the instrument doesn't work. When click a track in Cakewalk or Sonar, it only sound that track. I have no idea what to do next. If you can help, I will appreciate al lot.

You can find the Cakewalk template in the video description. The MIDI settings are identical on Genos and Tyros5 and try watching the video again. I don't know why the problem is happening.

Hello Casper and thanks for your videos. I'm loading the same style I want to edit in Cubase (as a midifile) and in Style creator in the Genos 2. It Works but recorded data from Cubase is not perfectly in sync in Genos (recorded ahead of beat). I can't manage to make it the other way, Genos as master and Cubase as slave to try a maybe beter synchronization...

It is difficult to synchronize Cubase and Genos. It shouldn't be because both are owned by Yamaha. When I edit Style on PC I always use XGWOrsk, it works just fine. Thanks for the tutorial. Does Yamaha sx-900 allows in importing and use of custom made voices from samples that are nor part of the keyboard's internal memory? If it's possible, then what can be the maximum file size of the voice and can I create the voice with just one sample which can be stretched and assigned to the whole keyboard keys or should I need sample for each note? Thanks for the response.

You can input custom voices into the SX900. Memory for custom Voice is 1 GB. You can stretch your voice over multiple keys and you don't have to have a sample for every note.

Hello. I was using Yamaha Expansion Manager on Windows 7 without any problems. I think there was an update? Now Y.E.M. is lagging and acting ridiculously. It does not recognize the Genos 2 info file. There was no such problem until a few days ago and the program was not lagging at all. What is the problem?

If you want to add your individual package, you need to do it in YEM first. So the packages you installed on the keyboard must also be in YEM. +++++Pozdrav Casper.Baš tražim nešto slično za jednog druga ima Tyros1 stariji je pušta midi file a na ekranu slova ne vidi čitati.Preporučio sam mu monitor ili neku tablicu.Pošto je daleko od mene ne bih volio da ga zovem kod mene prije nego tačno znam šta treba.Imam neke kompjuterske tablice ali nisam tačno siguran više za taj model klaviature a i nemam trenutno više podataka o njoj jer mi u požaru izgorjela računala a nema vremena tražiti po starim disovima koji su još ostali.Pa sad me zanima ako znaš na pamet dali može na taj Ty1 da se prikopča bilo koja tablica ili mora da bude tačno monitor koji odgovara toj klaviaturi. Tyros na stražnjoj strani ima RCA (tkz. činč) konektor , piše iznad VIDEO OUT (NTSC/PAL). TU možeš spojiti mali tv ili monitor s istim takvim ulazom. Ako ima monitor s VGA ulazom trebat će ti konverter Composite to VGA.

@@CasperVideo Da pušta baš midi fili jer on svira harmoniku kod nas je zovemo Fraitonarca i mislim da nezna svirati na tipkama kakve ima klaviatura.Inače on je u penziji pa ponekad svira u manjim druženjima gdje se skupe penzioneri.Znači trebat če nabaviti neki manji monitor kojeg več tražim i našao sem nešto na hrvatskoj strani ali je sve jako daleko a poštom nizko neče slati jer kao da ne znaju kako to ide u sloveniju mada je to jednako kao da naruči iz primjer njemačke šta znam. Baš zato nisam bio siguran za tablet jer ga nikad nisam koristio ni puštao midi file.Hvala još jednom.Hteo sam te pitati na Yumidi ali opet imam neke poteškoče jer mi ponovo traži neku novu lozinku pa ču valjda morati opet pisati Vaxteru.
