Caesar definitely took the crown for me! It was plot convenient that she survived BUT she didn’t know she would, so her “sacrifice” was still awesome! She earned the right to be Overlord after that!

I wouldn't describe it as plot convenient. They pretty much told you she would survive when they told you the story of the first overlord. I would have described it as plot convenient if the first overlord had died while Caesar lived.

Less of plot convenience actually. The "Chekov's gun" in the Tour de Inferno story was the legend of the first overlord. Where there was a chance that Caesar survived and lived to become someone like the first overlord. But it doesn't take away the fact that she'd still dive in head first into the magma to make sure everybody in the outer ring still has a chance at life.

In Hollow Zero, in the node in the very middle (I forget the name), you can add a list of handicaps. One of the handicaps is to remove the gold and red flashes for when they're about to attack. Ngl with all the effects your characters do, the difference with not having it is kinda crazy. But afaik actual bosses still have the flash for some reason even if you turn them off with that handicap

The new game mode has modifiers where you can turn off the yellow and red shine indicators when battling for extra points

There's a difficulty setting in the new Hollow Zero blitz mode that allows you to turn off the gold and red indicators for attacks, unfortunately I think it's only for Elite enemies right now which is a bit of a shame since the bosses are the ones you'd really want it for. Maybe except for the Belobog story boss, that one is just more annoying then anything because it's so big but for all the other major bosses it would be cool to be able to disable their indicators. This update was so fun overall, even though Caesar herself didn't treat me well, it's still probably my favorite story wise. Might be a bit of recency bias but the Sons of Calydon are such a fun group so it's easy to call them my favorite.

You can just restart the battle from the menu before your last agent dies btw, so you don't have to restart all over from the beginning.

Finally someone who agrees Lucy was the mvp this story line. She got so much lines and moments it was cool. Also for burnce I'm pretty sure they saving her for 2nd half of the patch in terms of story cause there's a ps trophie for a story quest with burnice but it's not out yet, live service game moment. They had actually set up the fissure plot point from the beginning with the story of the original person who dove into the lake and emerged unscathed. While they didn't know about fissures back then, there's no other way to dive into a lake of lava and live. We uncovered the truth behind the legend. And yeah, I can't wait to pull for Lighter. He'll likely be the banner after Burnice.
