This movement improves squat structure by forcing you to get low at the bottom & stand all the way up at the top.

I love doing the halo. Like in a previous video of yours I use it as a warm up. It never crossed my mind that after the rotation you could drop into a squat. Great video as always🤙

Mark you are so AWESOME! Was sharing your vids with a coworker today who just got a KB! I know you're the best so when she asked me, I sent links asap. For me.. Ive been healing a knee thing and have just been out of my routine and very weak. Bad cycle. Really discouraged with the pain, lack of stability and i have re-injured myself by going too fast etc...dumb stuff. 🙄 but I have been diligent and improved a bit again over the last couple weeks doing my P.T. and some spin and core work. Been showing up to my swords practice but I am always on edge of messing myself up by lacking decent strength. Slipped in wet grass at practice a few weeks ago twisting the bad knee AGAIN, and set myself back. 🙄 so frustrating. 💔 So Ive been afraid of doing KB and somehow going too far with it with this injury cycle, or being in bad form cuz the knee stability, and then locking up my back for a few days. I HAVE to work and i have a physical job so that option is BAD. Ha! So ive been living in fear. But I got "brave" the other day and just added back some simple swings and goblet squats with really low weight. Man..Im so glad I did. The R.O.I. was almost instant. So now im all excited to plot out my KB recovery plan again. I do the HighWindmill movement without any weight as a stretch before massaging people. Keeps my back/hips more open. So I then came here to watch again. Thank you Mark. I love this move and used to do it over and over with weight..and i have basically been weak and hobbling over the last year especially. I could cry. It's awful. Im inspired again. I can do this. I can heal and be strong and go hiking again. I just need to be slow and steady. Thank you for all your concise and kind teaching. I have a whole YT favorites file with your KB trainings. Coming back home to my KB work and trusting it will help heal me. Thank you so much.

Because advice on halos is usually "lighter weight & lower reps", I had backed down from my max of 20 kg down to 10 kg but kept my reps at 20 each direction. Would appreciate your guidance as to weight & reps for this halo goblet squat. Currently I use the 20 kg for swings & clean/rack squats. Thanks!

Will you ever be making reviews of exercise performances? Even with your great explanations, it's quite challenging to learn these from scratch at home without a coach or even a good mirror. All I can do is ask my wife to shoot a video and look at it. Could be very helpful to get some advice from a professional view.

I wonder if the standing pullover is equally effective as the halo in this exercise. The pullover feels more challenging to me than the halo.

I am so used to keeping every weight I move as close to the center as possible, that it is really hard for me to not rest my kettlebell on my chest. This will take some time to get used to.
