I have the smaller AG03MkII. I rarely need more than just a mic and stereo line input. It does have a nice fader instead of a volume knob. I think all of the AG series can be used with a Yamaha phone app that allows you to dive deeper into EQ and other settings without needing to tether a computer. Usually most of these are set and forget if you bring your favorite mic / headset, but I can see the appeal of hands on control in a random field situation. I have more powerful mixers at home, but I find myself defaulting to the Yamaha based on its small footprint and streaming feature set. I would have liked to see built in rechargeable batteries in all of the small mixer offerings. Thx for the overview as the mackie had been on my radar and it still is for versatile mobile non-streaming applications.

Damn Mackie. Live-streaming thru USC is the best not TRRS. That’s old Analog Static Audio. USC Audio gives you a clean True Stereo Digital Audio Mix.

4:46 I contacted Yamaha support about the gain for the AG06. The support directed me to PDF diagrams, and did confirm that it's 60db of gain, *NOT* 64db (the MG10 is 64db). Furthermore, for whatever it's worth, the AG06 (and AG03) Mk I is Windows 7 compatible, while the Mk II needs 10. the Mk II also uses Yamaha's AG DSP Controller software, which I think is better than the software used for the Mk II. Also, as the comments pointed out, another difference between the Mk I and Mk II releases is that the USB connection was updated from USB B to USB C.

Which do you recommend for using with a DJ Controller that has EQ…but not premium mic hookups? I am currently using a Yamaha AG03. I want to add a second balanced mic hookup.

model! choose between FOCUSRITE Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen (200$), Roland rubix22 (230$). Yamaha AG06MK2 (330$). You need a sound card to record a musical instrument with a condenser microphone. The thing is that occasionally I am invited to perform somewhere (there I need a mixer) The question is: is it worth considering yamaha ag06 mk2 for these purposes? (from the minuses for me: no equalizer and the necessary effects). Or will it be more reasonable to take a separate sound card and a full-fledged mixer?

The AG06 is better as a desktop interface, the Mackie is better for live events.

The finishes of the Mackie potentiometers seem much weaker. How do they compare in terms of reliability? Your videos are great!

In terms of reliability, I've had the AG06 for 4 years without issue. The MobileMix has only been out for 3 months, so it's largely untested.

just got the Mackie, is an okay unit, I like better the Behringer flow 8 10 times better the only downside is the USB is micro not USB C connection but that is really it for me
