After having a single Kcup maker for years we craved a pot being made on the weekends. Researched a bunch of models and choose this one. kzbin.infoUgkxL8yFdHfPF4ObeIwJ5JdM3i_9XLnbjUC2 We love it! We wanted a water reservoir for the single cup so we didn’t have to pour water in every cup but the other models it fed the water to the coffee pot to so by the time we made one pot we’d have no water left. This model has the traditional pour in feature for the pot and the reservoir for the cup which works great for us. Love how there is a bunch of holes pouring the water over the coffee, makes it taste much better. Only drawback I have is the way the lid is angled on the pot section it’s hard to get the last bit of water out of the pot into the machine without it spilling somewhere else.

Vinegar cleans coffee pots..pour a little bit in and hold the pot and swirl it around and Voilà! Also look for the universal Kcup reusable pod..Walmart has them for about $13 which is a much lower price than normally!

for myself I have purchased a turntable to put under my duo, i can spin the unit around and remove the tank to fill easily. If you have enough height under the cabinet you can use single serve without pulling the unit away from the wall. works for me.

The reason why it splatters when pouring is because the tip is partially clogged. Usually a can of compressed air (the kind that’s used to air clean computers) is all it takes to blast all those particles away from the tip.

Purple pod holder works. flat side goes towards you and the arrow goes towards the machine. you must push down on each side with both thumbs in the beginning when the purple pod is new to get it down in all the way

You have to remove the K-cup holder to use the reusable pods. Also, you need the specific one for the Keurig Duo. :)

I just purchased this machine last week. Pros: I like the option to brew a pot or have a single cup with a k-cup Easy to use, brews a full 12 cup pot of coffee in about 10 minutes. Cons: I have a heck of a time trying to get the filter basket back onto the machine. Sometimes it takes 5 min of struggling to find the right angle The fast brewing process on a pot of coffee makes the coffee taste weaker so I have to add more ground coffee than usual. I wish the coffee maker had a timer. It's a bit of a nuisance having to wake up and push the buttons to start the coffee before work.

I use reusable K-cup holder all the time and have no problems. I also put the coffee carafe in the dishwasher and I haven't hurt It yet. The only problem I have is putting the filter basket back in

You can use the reusable pods. I have this maker and the there is an insert where it goes that is removable then it will fit.

I have like 8 reusable pods I have 2 brown ones that just fit right in like a regular kcup and the needle does not harm it but the rest of my reusable kcups are the same purple ones shown in the video those will not fit and I do have to remove the part with the needle they seem like they are the exact same size which is funny but obviously they are not or else they would fit the same but I’ve been using the brown ones all the time just because I don’t have to remove the part lazy me😂

The reusable filters you have to take the part that the K-Cups in out first. The instructions that come with the filters tell you how to do it. Then you will be able to use the reusable. You should be able to find a reusable coffee filter for the 12 cup coffee part of the Keurig.

To clean your pot put a few ice cubes in with a couple of sprays of Clorox cleanup. Swirl it around, then wash and rinse very well. Spotless

You have to remove the k cup holder to be able to use the reusable one. Easy thing to do. I do it regularly with my coffee maker

Remove the big black "cup holder" (if you can't lift it out, CAREFULLY press it up from the bottom, then lift it out), and you can put the little magenta cups in and close the lid.

I absolutely love mine. I occasionally clean the pot with vinegar. All coffee pots need to be cleaned occasionally. Mine is not messy. I have a coffee station so I dont have a problem with height. I also fill mine with a 2 cup measuring cup rather that pulling the water canister out of the coffee pot.

I have the same one and I love it . You can purchase a filter to brew 12 cups , and you can purchase a reusable pod so you can use your own coffee . Mine does not splatter all over the place like yours does and my coffee pot has never stained . I’ve had mine for over a year now and I love it ,you must have a defective one .

I have this exact coffee pot, I do not have any of the issues you are talking about...mine doesn't splatter water everywhere, the glass pot has never gotten stained, the purple cup mesh thing does work in it you have to take out the one that's in it to use the purple cup and they do sell a keurig brand one that works great...I've had mine for just about a year now

Just wanted to let you know you can use Reusable pods for the single cup what you need to do is open the single cup part and put your hand underneath where the coffee comes out and push up the insert will come out and then you can buy the reusable pods inserts and put them in there just thought you would like to know so you can make and use your own coffee and not have to buy the expensive single coffee pods

For those of you having issues with the filter just make sure the top lip is aligned and everything else will fall in place afterwards I just got it yesterday and figure that out real quick the only issue I’m having is actually getting it going I wanted to make a large tumbler and tried to make a pot so my husband can have some as well

rotate the reusable pod , there is a particular orientation for the pod to fit when placed in the Keurig , look at the bottom and you'll see a place for the needle to fit.

I bought the Keurig Duo and approximately 6-8 weeks later, the carafe portion of the coffee maker decided to quit working. Selected it to brew 8 cups into the carafe and it would MAYBE brew 2 cups and then shut off. Yes, I selected the “cups”, not “ounces”. TOTAL waste of $$. You’d think a coffee maker would last longer than a couple of months. Tried to contact Keurig........HA! Not happy with this coffee maker WHATSOEVER!

I just purchased this and I absolutely abhorr it!!! We like drinking fresh coffee and want to make about 8 cup. so we can drink it and make new later on instead of the whole all day pot. For some reason, this thing dumps the whole 12 cup water reservoir even though we pressed the 8 cup button. Also hate the coffee basket and the water reservoir in the back. Returning this poc!!!

I have no problem with my coffee maker. Yes I have this brand. I use the reusable cups. Works great. I got a reusable filter for the pot side. It does not splash out coffee when I’m making my coffee. I love my new coffee maker. And as far as using a dishwasher to clean my parts. I prefer to wash them on my own.

I bought one from Walmart loved it worked one time barely next time I went to use it it wouldn’t turn on read the instructions everything so I took it back to Walmart they said I couldn’t return it because that coffee pot wasn’t sold what is what I said well the box was opened but I still bought it because the only silver one they had somebody returned one they put it back on the shelfAnd that’s the one I bought not knowing this so I had to go buy a whole new coffee pot I lost $109 so I don’t know how bruise so I bought a Cuisinart and it is fabulous

Just bought this model. Can you buy a permanent filter for the carafe side. If so from whom. Also it doesn’t come with starter kit so had to buy one . Also had to buy separate pod holder for making single coffee if using your coffee. You need to buy a filter for the water reservoir as doesn’t come with it. Having trouble already can’t get the carafe coffee holder back in and it’s showing add water/descale so won’t work. Very disappointed . By time I got all the extras for its proper operation it cost much more than I wanted. Will be returning it !

I used the “rinse pod” before I used it for the first time and I followed directions but my coffee still taste like chemicals. Did you clean it with the rinse pod or the descaling liquid (made my keurig) before you made coffee for the first time?

Does the single serve spray like that when you use a pod? Or just when you make hot water. When we use our regular Keurig for hot water it’s a bit more splashy than when we use a pod to make coffee. Not as splashy as what yours just did tho!

I used this in an airbnb and ended up ordered the k duo with the timer and it has a few better features like the timer. But I'm here looking at reusable k cup comments. I've gotten a k duo it's not the plus but it's not the essentials. I really liked the special edition all stainless look and the regular black+ stainless look . The tray opens from the top and not annoying like the essential. The only problem is with the reusable k cups it seems hard to pull off the thing to allow the k cup to fit and close. Also the essential I used had a screen. So im sure you can purchase the screen for carafe pot. I have company staying with me so it helps to be able to do a pot or k cup. I'll see what happens with my stainless reusuables kcups because they're 12+ each and I have two of them
