Keurig not pumping water (Fast Repair)

Amen. Prior to watching your video i "fixed" a sputtering Keurig after an engineer took it apart and didn't figure out the problem. I too disassembled the machine and as a last resort checked the water tank. BINGO! It looked dirty - iron in water - even after double filtered. I took a pan bristled brush, rubbed inside the reservoir and poked from the bottom and ran water out the bottom until the dusty sediment came out clear. Put reservoir on, refilled it, plugged in machine, hit power button, cup size lights lit, hit cup size button and it worked! Talk about an easy fix! Lesson learned: what could ever go wrong on a Keurig? Way WAY over engineered appliance. Capacitors, sensors, wires, soldering, relays, hoses.... what a first world problem! But, hey, money makes the world go round and junk keeps the garbage men employed. We ban plastic bags and yet nobody worries about the pods their coffee comes in. Viva la basura!

I have the exact same model that you are showing, it's my 2nd machine within a year, I bought this 6 months ago and it has already crapped out, I will not buy a 3rd Keurig, they are nothing but junk, there's no way that it should be broke down already, especially 2 of them in a year. 😠 I will try your trick thank you buddy

Bro I swear I wish I could take you out to dinner! My husband bought me this k duo over a year ago but we barely used it. Tonight we wanted to watch movies and drink got coco but it WAS NOT WORKING. It constantly kept saying add water. After going back in forth with that and finally getting that signal to disappear then it wouldn’t brew a full carfe and I was just threw! Worked like a charm! I actually didn't have a turkey baster handy so I just used a long straw (off a water bottle) and blew the sh*t out of the water intake base at the bottom of the water reservoir (while on the machine of course). Thanks!

I used vinegar and it wouldn't pump. This turkey baster worked. Also, and I cant find the old video, but another guy said take your entire machine and hold it upside down in sink. That worked to. Thanks for the tip on this video

Mine was making small amounts of coffee on the pot side and full cups on the k-cup side.. after hours of trying different solutions these videos shared, nothing worked.. took it apart and blew the vent tube out with compressed air, works perfect now!

I have a single cup Keurig that wasn't pumping the water. I took the 4 screws off the bottom, removed the panels, and gave some of the rubber tubes a squeeze. The tubes had some water in them so the squeezes helped push the water through. It started working then. I am going to descale next. Sharing in case anyone finds this useful.

Idk if it was a coincidence but this worked for me too. Thanks 👍🏽 I say coincidence after I brushed that piece, coffee/water still wasn't coming out. Once I removed the pod that was still sitting in there, it worked. Anyways Keurig is no help, like some people have said, they are hoping you throw it out and buy a new one. BTW a dish cleaning brush works fine too, I don't think you need a toothbrush per se.

I didn’t have a turkey baster so I took it and used my air compressor and blew both ports out as you showed and it worked! I had already descaled it and it worked fine for about 3 cups. I was ready to take it back to Target because I haven’t had it long, less than 3 months. I live in N Florida and our water is very hard. Went and checked mine. Sure enough it had something in it. The next spot to check is where that attaches to the machine. I found algae in both spots. A q-tip got most of it out of the machine where the tank feeds water in. Works great now.

The turkey baster was a bit of a oh no I don't have one ! But I used a sink sprayer on hot. I also tried white vinegar first but somehow it all started working after I pushed the spring thing . The automatic water sensor also wasn't working. Well my mini works fine now. Thanks got it on the first vid.

You were correct, my rear tank was clogged with fine cat hair. Tuns out my cat like to drink out if the tank, gross I know but he’s my cat. I had to use a tooth pick to pick it out of the 1 way valve at the bottom of the external tank and ran water through it backwards. Who knew, i thought it was scale, lol.

Mines brand new out of the box and has a descale light on. It spit out a tiny bit of water in the coffee pot side and won't even go on the single cup

Are you getting build up using bottled water or are you using tap water? So far every keurig I have owned using Poland spring water had not caused the machine to ask for descaling. I do run clean water through it every day after daily use. I have used the the descale formula from keurig once a year since owning both my machines bit not because it asked to be descaled.

sorry to hear that. you could try filling the water reservoir up with vinegar just enough to cover the back part and let it soak over night. this should also help to break down any hard water deposits. let me know this this helps. Thanks for the comment

I tried a bunch of youtube stuff also -- but it still didn't work. (including cleaning some of the water lines). I took a basketball pump (small, hand-held) -- and did a few pumps of air into the water input (after taking reservoir off) -- and it magically started working. 2 hours of screwing around -- a 1-minute fix did the trick. My wife had already picked out the $200 replacement and was ready to buy.
