Incredible work there! Any plan on open-sourcing the designs and code or offering them on a paid basis? I understand that a project like this is not for the faint of heart, but really cool to build

you should sell kits or plans & build instructions to recoup some of your costs in designing and building this excellent rig.

Nice job! Was wondering has any one used a motor driven wheel to spin the rig inside it's own axis? I was considering this as it would allow for essential limitless spin left or right.

You might try some long dampers to smooth out the movement
@cmdrblastard57743 жыл бұрын
Hi - it doesn't need dampers (like my v3 one did). The motors on this v5 are actually pretty smooth due to their 'over' power - thanks tho

The funny thing is in space, the craft would have to suspend all g-force or suppress it to 1G (in simulation) so you didn't get flattened like a pancake due to acceleration or breaking from FSD / Supercruise... Go figure what the real G force would be.
@cmdrblastard57743 жыл бұрын
very true Stuart but as FTL motion is impossible, I use is real world forces so I have 'imaginary inertial dampers' in place. Being a maths teacher I could work out the real' Inertial Forces' (not G-force btw - in space there won't be any sizable 'g' unless near a massive object) but no reason too really as its a moot point.
@MollyWi3 жыл бұрын
