Just to let people know: the 3ds can only read sd cards with the format "FAT32", which is a format mainly found in sd cards at or below 32gb. If you want a higher storage unit it needs to be formatted form "exFAT" to "FAT32" through the use of an external tools (bc you shouldn't be able to change the format by simply formatting it from the windows file explorer).

one of those external tools is (guiformat) and it works though make sure not to use it on internal drives or it will whip your computer, though it works on SD cards with 64 or higher GB, be carful tho it's not considered a safe app to use so be safe.

I managed to get this correctly done! I ended up downloading 5 themes on my 3DS, and I am currently using a _Sun and Moon_ theme with a custom art featuring Trial Captain Mallow, and its music is the hometown theme for _Pokémon Sun and Moon_ and _Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon._

Even with this beautifully made video I’m terrified of doing something wrong to my 3DS. I have an old one and a new version. I would definitely do it to the new one…. I thought of just buying an already one but at the same time I want my own progress me Plaza and Nintendo ID to be on it not stranger😔. If you are afraid that you will lose your data, you can use the computer to make a back up of your data for your 3DS just incase anything goes wrong, make sure you put the data on a SD card put it in your computer (don't format it) just make a copy of the files and name it something so you know which files is which, now keep the SD card and put it back in your 3DS and you should have the data on your 3DS and on your computer and if you accidentally erase your data you can make a copy of the files that's on your computer and put it back on the SD card, this also can help when you need to upgrade the storage on your SD card without losing data, aka buying a new SD card with more storage for the 3DS because the other SD card is full, he didn't show it, well he did, but he didn't show it at the beginning but he did say if you already have an SD card with your stuff and data on it make a copy of it before you format it so you can put it back on the SD card after it's formatted, if you are afraid that the 3DS will break then all I got to say is the 3DS has taken on worse, wait till the battery runs out and then charge it and it should be back to normal of anything happens.

Aight gotcha so at the moment I need to 1. Figure out how to either reset my Pre-Owned Ds so I can get rid of the parental control pin that the previous owner had left on there/guess the pin 2. buy micro sd card 3.Buy the usb bit 4. There’s a website you can use to get rid of the parental controls. Not sure KZbin won’t flag the link but Google “3ds reset parental controls”. Apparently there’s a number of different devices you can use, even some android ones.

Hey I found maybe a solution for your problem if you read the official guide. In the section with your systems settings selected you need to do button inputs not touch inputs. If settings is not selected you re adjust your courser with d pad and reboot. Looks like touch inputs mess with the build. Inside the menu u could and must use touch input. While exerting and inserting sd card don’t touch any button or touchscreen. Good luck my friend.

Don’t forget there’s also a way to get and play DS games. It’s a bit complicated to do, but with it, not only can you play 3DS games but also DS games.

@ For DS games, you’ll need Ghost eShop to download DS games, and TCTM+ to play them. TCTM+ comes with a lot of folders, but 1 of them stores the DS games you download from Ghost eShop so you can play them. I got those with help from one of my brothers.

For some reason when I’m at 6:43 nothing happens, nothing shows up and it keeps spinning, another problem is I can’t update my software because it can’t connect to the Internet, and that it also turns off randomly (I will put the SD card in my other 3ds but the touch screen doesn’t work on that one)

Edit: I fixed it by moving the slider to not be on the “lock” symbol on the actual SD card Original comment: 3:25 whenever I try to drag and drop the files it stops me saying that “The disk is write-protected.” And to either remove the write-protection or use another disk. It gives me the options to try again, skip or cancel. The file is boot.firm and I have no idea what to do

Also If you have a 3ds that takes the big sd cards you can also use a micro sd card with an adapter. That’s what I’m using for mine If you intend to do game mods you’ll wanna check the enable game patching option during the install

To install, it’s the FBI app. The most common place people look is “hShop”

Nothing. I had the same issue. I ended up uninstalling and going to the python website. Download the .exe, right click, run as admin., check both boxes (run as admin & add path [or something like that]) and install. Then it worked. Hoped this helped!
