After 3, 4 was just a huge disappointment It's a step up in terms of sandbox stuff but in terms of a fun game and pure Just Cause chaos it's just not there compared to 3 3 is absolute perfection. • Focused all around causing damage and chaos • While story isn't amazing the characters are still fun • Has the best version of Rico in both voice, design, and characterisation • The DLC is pretty great (lightning gun, mech, and jetpack were incredible additions) I could go on. I just hope 4 isn't the end of the series, if they just gave us a game more like 3 in terms of gameplay then it should be a home run I'm not sure if you have played 3 yet but if you haven't I really hope you play it next, you won't be let down

the only thing i have against 3 is their shitty drift mechanic could use a little more work other than that i agree with everyone the DLC for 3 especially for the jetpack was one of few of the greatest DLC's i have ever got to witness and enjoyed the damn DLCs are that good its probably worth having a mission selection just to replay them again would be worth ngl i think 4 was just a massive cash grab cause they understood that even tho half their player base didnt get to experience the DLC's of 3 and moved on to other games after speed binge playing. A whole new player base spawned because of 3 really good thought out and planned DLCs i still enjoy jetpacking solo blowing up bases without touching the ground like a human jet.... is it sad to say i even enjoy terrorizing the Train Carts just to get shot at with homing rockets

JC4 is a good game on its own but playing it immediately after the 3rd one like i did was honestly depressing. JC4 just felt so watered down and they removed so many good things that were in the 3rd game. The destruction based outposts from the 3rd game were my favorite thing they got rid of, they made destruction an actual necessity to progress. Blowing everything up is something you CAN do in JC4, it's something you WILL do in JC3 because you can't progress in the game without leveling entire military installations. There's just not enough incentive to destroy things in this game, yeah you can get more troops but once you get like 2 extra troops you literally have enough to beat the game its just a matter of running errands and trudging through the mission for each province. The story of the 3rd game feels so much more fun than the 4th too, the 4th game starts out with you getting taken out by a storm, the 3rd game starts out with you literally riding an enemy missile and redirecting it into an enemy base. Imo they're incomparable unfortunately.

Just cause 2 when I was kid was my therapy lol. I don't remember doing too many missions. I'd just hop on and explore, mess around with the grappling hook, blow all the objectives up, experiment with the physics of the game, going up to the mile high club (I remember that feeling so cool to find) I didn't have internet at that point in my life so I was just enjoying games not worring about progression or achievements

My opinions on the just cause series Just Cause 1 Just Cause 1 is my least favorite of the just cause games but I do not think it is a bad game. In fact, I think that this game is a solid first step into the franchise. Just cause 2 Just Cause 2 is a major step up from the first game in my opinion. The map size is bigger, the military feels more intimidating, and most importantly, more chaos! But I do think that the game is a tad overrated mainly due to the difficulty but it is most likely a skill issue on my part. Just Cause 3 Yet another step up. This is the first Just Cause game I played so there may be bias. Everything from the previous installment, plus the black hand return! Only thing I dislike is that almost every area in Medici looks the same, except for some locations at Insula Striate. Speaking of Insula Striate, this entire region is a bit more than twice the size of the GTA V map! Just Cause 4 JC4 is basically a double edged sword for me. It has plenty of quality of life improvements like Rico having the ability to zoom in at the very start. On the other hand, liberating bases is not as "fun" as its prequel, and the lack of a "final boss." Overall, I would play JC4 over JC2 but I think Just Cause 3 is the better game (in my opinion)

jc4 is a bare bones game, the jetpack is only avalable via a dlc and you need to turn it on in the menues, you can only have 2 guns, there are no pistols or revolvers or ricos signiture guns you cant duel weald anymore the only good thing is the it looks nice map size is good and the hoverboard from one of the dlc is brilliant and thats it. jc3 is vastly better and so is jc2. i own jc1,2,3 and 4. i wish mercineries lasted longer but EA own that now and they will never do anything with it.

Loved 2 and 3 so much. I sank so many hours of my life playing those games. Got 4 and although the tether stuff was cool I was turned off by the missions and territory warfare gameplay. I think the mission you did freeing the dudes on that navy base was as far as I got before moving on to something else. Maybe I'll give it another try b/c Just Cause used to be so awesome man.
