Hey Kevin...bro, thanks for the statement (at the top of the vid) that really speaks to the perfectionist that limits so many of us who've played as I for over the past 35+ years feeling that everything needs to be rendered perfectly, when we really forget that ..."we needn't come to God perfect"...wow. profound statement. true, none of us are perfect except we abide in him. Our righteousness is as filthy rags (as the scripture so states) and we only need to come to him as ourselves, we are saved by his grace and through the precious blood of Jesus who cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Our job is to walk according to the word, repent from our sins, not go back, and walk in faith. Musically sometimes when I render praise (early morning, late evening), I concur with you my brother, chords may not fall right, a note here or there missed but the heart always wanting to execute well before him...he gave the gift, anointed our ears and looks for "a sacrifice" of praise. Out of the mouths of babes comes a perfect praise for they know no inhibitions and come as they are, just as my little grands do toward myself and my wife. precious, they are and precious we are as ministers of music to him. My Favorite Gospel Pianist... God Bless Him and his family.. If only, Mr Bond could do a Gospel Master Class.. it would be great... Yet today, I still can't figure out all the stuffs he does from his play!! Ive been listening to all available album-projects he took part in, Potter House choir / TD Jake, Marvin Sapp, the Hawkins, Yolanda Adams, Micah Stampley, Daryl coley, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr etc... seeing him collaborating with Jason White, Michael Bereal etc.. All I Can say is, hes truly anointed from the Lord for the blessing of his servants!!!

I am a piano player My play doesn’t sound like this although many people like my style, What should I do to sound like this? It’s like all American players sound like this....I enjoy it but I’m struggling to sound this way so my boss educate me.... I’m from Ghana......

Hey bro blessings it's not an all American playing style what i would say it's a black ethnic style, there are alot all over the world even in Africa, check out this guy Ntozoko Mambo. Black musicians are very skilled & creative their musical innovations are out of this world.
