Rob Lowe (9-1-1: Lone Star) is taking The Floor as host and producer of FOX’s dynamic new quiz show, created by John de Mol’s Talpa (Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, The Voice). The Floor is a spectacular battle of the brains in which 81 contestants stand on 81 squares on a massive game show floor, competing for a whopping $250,000 prize.

Our family likes the Floor; however, longevitywise for the show might not be good. We also haven't looked at the ratings. To make this show survive if it has a chance, they need to reward people for challenging instead of staying put or opting out. You can win the game by not even playing until the end and then take the whole board. Probably won't happen, but it's possible. Maybe if not give a cash award, then maybe give a prize or trip or something to give them incentive to challenge. Also, can give a prize for challenging a random square with a prize attached to it. Just some things to make it better in the future if this show has longevity. Survivor changed and it's had over 40 seasons now.

@@kyojin2455 Right, maybe buzz in to see who gets to answer and most correct wins. Time limit if no one knows - maybe 5 seconds. More fairer like Jeopardy. Now it's random and and some players get harder ones. Maybe they can tweak it next time if there is a next time. Do a mix of current way and buzz in so player has more control?

Update: it got renewed for two more seasons and its expanding all over Europe. I'd say the show is still a success that'll be here to stay

Agree! I feel very disappointed with Season 1 as contestants winning lots of duels go home with nothing, while the winner just got lucky that she was chosen the last to play.
