The Cost is a legend. Enjoying him in Yellowstone. He made some of the best 80s and 90s movies including Waterworld and his interviews are always honest and insightful.

the movie didnt deserve the negative hate it got.. seems the media created this bashing on waterworld and ran with it and it somehow in some strange way caught on and people just bashed it.. but then people ended up renting it at the video store and thought ohh well I will give it a look and enjoyed it!!!! it was a great tentpole big budget movie...

It's interesting how quickly people will dismiss art if it doesn't make money. All we hear about Waterworld is how much money it lost. Waterworld is rad! It has amazing action scenes and story writing. There's plenty of movies that make tons of money that totally suck.
