Cronin basically forced Richrath out of the band. Not sure why anyone would be surprised when Cronin forces out another member. Bruce Hall is good bassist. Cronin is a narcissist period. One time years ago Cronin went on the Art Bell radio show and the guy sounded nuts or was smoking crack!

Kevin is doing some major revisionist history and he needs to keep Gary's name out of his mouth. The magic of the 1981 lineup will NEVER be equaled. The magic that happened from "Tuna" to Good Trouble can't be duplicated.

Kevin’s age is against him, to start over as a soloist at his age is almost ridiculous. He’s not gonna sell tickets. I already know that he is not the world, oldest teenager and never will be. He can try to start over at his age, but it’s not going to work. What he should do is retire with REO Speedwagon do a farewell tour and get on with the rest of his life. This whole situation is turning out to be an embarrassment for himself and the band.

I saw REO 25+ times with Gary Bruce Kevin Neil and Alan even as far back as Mike and Gregg. Those lineups absolutely leave todays lineup in the dust. KC saying the current lineup is the best REO lineup ever is pure bs... The proof is in all the videos... Todays lineup doesnt even compare to the classic lineup.. Richrath rules!!

Bruce Hall has said that there have to be 2 of the 3 REO Speedwagon owners on stage in order to play as REO - Kevin Cronin, Neal Doughty and Bruce Hall. So Bruce and Neal can go out and play without KC. Love to see a reunion with them and other former members!

It's pointless to comment on the comings and going of an elderly rock band when you don't have all the facts. Kevin is 73 and owes Harmless Dave, Nick Skrutoski, Hank Pearson, and Kip Duffy squat other than a good show for those who attend. What I've seen on the internet concerns me as people are typing away on their keyboards all kind of invectives directed at KC because he wants to play with another bassist after 47 years! Why are these people mad? Are they students of the bass? Or is it what it seems REO is kaput which part of their youth ie "salad days" and it is a reminder everything ends. That is jarring to think about. KC needs to ignore the keyboard warriors mad at his interest in moving on because at 73 he needs to do as he wishes and need not care about the opinions of others. Good luck KC!

I never saw the most recent version of REO, but i did see them in 1987. A bit past their prime, but Gary was still in the band, and I think it was Alans last tour. I agree with most of comments here, but the unfortunate truth is that most people will not care who is in the band as long as they hear the hits.

SIMPLE STUFF!!!!. kevin still wants to tour. neal is retired, bruce can barely get around, saw a interview with bruce and his wife, she had to do all the talking. bruce just wanted to do a farewell tour and retire. ONLY problem is hes got alot of health issues. maybe there will get it straight. catch them bands at your local casino. trying pay some bills, lol

Sounds similar to Styx when DDY was gone. He was SO SURE that Styx wouldn't survive without DDY. But remember that Kevin Cronin wasn't the original singer of REO either. I have my tickets for Styx/KC/DF for Milwaukee.

Stopped being a fan when fame brought out the REAL person. The music sucked, REO was now considered a pop band kinda just like SYX, Foreigner, etc. I had so much hope for them, a big shame.

I think REO could have used a better vocalist from day one. Kevin was never great in my opinion. Gary and the band made the music worthy, not Kevin. For me, to hear the rest of the band, you had to tolerate Kevin. It is the same way for Dream Theater.

At the end of day here and why we all got censored was because we all love our entertainment. Music, Football, nightlife, a hike and bike, etc. We all saw some things that we all know to be true. Trying to explain to the "Ignormies" is and has been quite the challenge has it not? We all want to get back to progressive living and making a better future. We all wish to be able to sit down for 3 hours watching the game of football that we all love. Go to a rock concert and experience the love and excitement of it all. However, we all know that something has happened that is going to have to manifest in order for the rest of us and a pro human future to exist. That is the issue. In my world, I would love just a day of grace. Let it all out and unplug from it all. I do understand the snails process so that the rest do not go haywire. I love harmless Dave.
