I think the only player better then Silva in premier league history for consistenly being world class was Scholes. I think Gerrerd and Lampard declined pretty quickly into their 30s and had to change roles and were more impactful with scoring goals then controlling the play. Silva maintain a world class level almost the whole time he has been at City.
