Kevin Durant Drops Season-High 45 Points, But Suns Fall to Celtics 117-107

Phoenix Suns superstar forward Kevin Durant was the best player on the floor during the Suns (37-27) 117-107 loss to the Celtics (49-14), but it was not enough to get the job done.
Without Devin Booker for a fourth straight game, Durant finished with a season-high 45 points on 18-of-26 FG to go along with 10 rebounds and six assists. He did all of this while guarding Jayson Tatum, who had 29 points on 11-of-28 shooting.
Overall, the rest of Durant's teammates did not get the job done. Bradley Beal had 25 and four assists on 10-of-25 shooting, but only two other Suns were in double-figures.
Durant points out that the game was won on the 3-point line. Boston shot 15-for-39 (39%) from 3 compared to 9-for-31 (29%) for Suns. Durant was not the problem in this area for Phoenix, as he made 4-of-7 attempts beyond the arc.
The Suns next start a four-game road trip Monday night in Cleveland against the Cavaliers (41-22).

Your teammates always let you down when you need them the most and so does your coach. I can't comprehend going with someone else in closing minutes besides Bol Bol as he was the only bench player who stepped up all night. EG is a veteran but never comes through when needed the most and Vogel keeps going to him without no results. It hurts watching you burn too much energy guarding the best player every night and carrying offensive load every night. It is a team game but they seem to disappear when lights get brighter.

Eric Gordon is a detriment to the suns…he is terrible defender and selfish on offense…he always bricks in crucial moments

You can tell with his shots in so many games he just doesn’t care but just throws it up sometimes even air balling. He doesn’t box out on rebounds, just stands around waiting for the ball to fall in his hands. Might be the biggest mistake we have made picking him up as a veteran assuming he will help especially in critical moments. He just doesn’t care and only comes to play like one game out of five and then goes back to same ugly just shoot without not even trying.
