Sports "analysts" created this mess so they have something to write and talk about. These analysts are also fans of other teams, who are obviously are not GSW fans because they sucked for a long time. When GSW won their first chip, they never wrote about how they beat the Cavs. The narrative was, they won because Kryie and Love got injured. How many people wrote about the Raptors didn't deserve their championship against GS because Thompson, Durant, and Cousins were hurt. All they wrote was, Kawhi is really good.

When Draymond makes that comment about Curry not being a bucket getter I don't think he's downing Curry's skill or capability but more his mindset at the time. Curry is an amazing team player despite being an amazing offensive weapon all by himself, he plays team ball before he plays Curry ball if that makes sense. He doesn't play iso heavy ball, he utilizes insane off ball movement and screen setting to get his points. This finals we saw him put the team on is back on the biggest stage which shows that change imo

Why would you, he ain't a team player, he's looking to come in and make whoever makes the mistake of trading for him 'his' team. Sure fire way to fuck up any existing chemistry, and even if you could justify that, dude has zero loyalty and has already shown that he's gonna cut and run the moment shit gets rough, leaving you with nothing but the roster you blew up to get him. The only teams that would be interested in letting him step in and take over are the dogshit franchises that he'll refuse to play for anyway. @@tooforwon241 Ya I agree to an extent but when it comes to westbrook and Carmelo I think it's less about "accepting change" and more about "not giving a sh*t" lol. Hearing Jalen Rose breakdown by Kyrie wanted Steve Nash rather than a coach that would challenge him and maybe even frustrate him is a true testament to the kind of person he really is. I don't think Kyrie gives a rat's ass about winning another chip. He got a ring so the rest of his career is about making money and running the clock out until it's time to retire. What's sad is that both of their careers are forever stained and marred by this dumpster fire of a fiasco. To see two players of this caliber build a super team only for it to blow up in their faces and by their own doing is only second to LeBron and the Lakers, which is easily the most disappointing team in NBA history.

KD overvalues himself. He is a pretty one-dimensional player. Great offensive skillset but bad with dribbling, passing, athleticism, leadership, defense and IQ.
@yurinoworry2 жыл бұрын
He doesn’t lack athleticism he’s just average athletically for an NBA player. Don’t act like he’s a Zeller out here. But he lacks heart. KD is only good for dribbling out of the triple threat. But he doesn’t need to be the lead playmaker on his team. That’s what Kyrie’s handle is for. That’s the point of a team. To complement your star’s weaknesses. He’s the lead scorer. His leadership is pretty poor for a “superstar” I agree. His defensive skills aren’t bad but again. It’s a heart issue. An effort issue. And his IQ for basketball depends on how you measure that. I think he’s a solid B for IQ at worst.

The office tried to microwave a super team without any acknowledgment of personality, dedication, or willingness to sacrifice. Only skill. (Offensive skill exclusively btw) In the process they let players have full autonomy and leverage and they gave up an aircraft carrier jet worth of young talent and draft capital. They hired a coach that isn’t even a coach, and the stars basically saw Nash as more of a consultant than a coach. Players of course have free agency rights, and if they have the leverage, whatever. Go where you wanna go. You just gotta know that nobody is gonna see you on a level of an all time great dynasty leading player. Deal with it. Quit acting so damn soft KD. We have no pity for multimillionaire public figures who are criticized idk why that’s so hard for some of these people to understand.

I think that it’s fitting that the man who would have stayed next to and loyal to KD for his entire career was Russ. Despite them not being very much of a fit basketball wise personality wise they were perfect for each other. Russ is the dominant guy who isn’t going to quit and is head strong / able to withstand any criticism thrown his way. You call him out he’ll talk back. He’s not great at adapting but he’s consistent in regards to his personality. He’s going to be the same guy whether he wins or loses. Russ seemed to be there guy who was good for KD’s mental health. But not as a basketball player. I think the question at this point is what KD wants in a team. He didn’t seem to want Russ and his OKC family vibe anymore, he didn’t feel good with the dominance of joining GS, and he wasn’t happy with the friendship he had with Kyrie in Brooklyn. He needs to decide though what type of man he’s going to be and where he wants from a situation. Whether that be he wants to win with friends, enjoy a city’s fan base, or even just playing on a good team. You can have any of these options combined together. I just think KD needs to make one soon because you can’t keep running away and expect to not get criticism from people. I don’t care what he does. As long as he is happy and consistent in what he wants from himself and others around him. That’s all I think matters.

OKC loved KD, to see him transform into this miserable person who makes ultimatums and causes chaos throughout his organization is something I did not see coming. One day KD is going to realize that leaving Russ and OKC was mistake, bc nobody is going to love you as much as they had. Russ loved Kevin, The organization loved Kevin, OKC was Kevin. When Kevin retires and when he is asked some of his favorite moments as a basketball player. Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving are already more known for their drama then anything they've done on the court. When he went to the nets he was already scathed.

21:38 Jalen Rose so wrong for this, don’t compare KD being in Brooklyn with Kyrie who he got to choose and make shit loads of money with to everyday citizens stuck in miserable or dangerous situations. Sometimes I think some motherfuckers forget at the end of the day this is sports and there are other things that are more serious and matter more, even if your job is in the sports world. But nah let’s try to co-opt some language from therapy and pretend that KD is choosing to love himself and be happy like a wife who finally leaves her abusive husband.

It'll be funny as hell to see Kyrie and Durant suiting up for the Nets next season, after no one wanting their drama-queen asses on their team. Except the Lakers... the Lakers are desperate.

Kd is depressed and lost. Not having a major male influence is showing now. He doesn’t even really understand life decisions… Plus his hygiene is terrible

And before this current Nets disaster, the Nets traded the farm for the over-the-hill- Celtics... When the Russian guy owned the team.

I'm curious, do you want the raptors to land Durant? I thought I saw you were a raptors fan somewhere, and I'm curious what you would be willing to give up for him

I honestly don't want to see Durant knowing that we'd have to part with Scottie. I'd rather play it safe and run it back. Also KD would probably request out after one season

KD was cursed by the Based God and it’s obvious that it’s still alive and well. I hope he doesn’t come back to the Yay bc we’re good over here.

The gobert trade is actually a good one....draft picks are useless to a team like Minnesota. Most of them are just 4 year projects that get handed down to other teams anyways. Gobert puts them in position to make playoff runs.
@herotheancient13522 жыл бұрын
Would that be worth it tho? What if all that trade just to not make to playoff or got bounce in first round every year? That a L trade. We will see what the results this years and next years. Can't judge it yet.

he has no shame, and he also has no pride...I say that in terms of facing adversity in the league. It's gotten to the point I think KD probably thought winning titles was easy because he saw domination of the Lakers and Spurs doing it while he was growing up. Seems like he just thought the grind would be over once he hit the league.

Steph Curry lives rent free in KD’s mind

Let’s compare the nets and the warriors. Is ‘d better than Steph? Is Kyrie better than Klay? So what is the reason the nets got swept and GSW won the title?
