he made a decision on Beijing Olympics that pretty much ended his playing career. He was injured at that time and he needed surgery while the NBA was on offseason. But he opted to play on Beijing Olympics because he really wanted to play in front of his country especially against the US. His injury became worse and his body could not keep up.

He'd be top 10 all time without the injuries. He was so skilled even though he was 7 6. He was just getting comfortable playing here, too, before the injuries began. Don't see many guys that tall and still stocky in the lower half. He was tremendous for that short stretch. Watching him v Shaq was always fun

I met yao and got to watch him practice in their facility and i was blown away. He was alone and had two ball chasers and he took 100 shots from the free throw line, then 100 shots each from atleast 20 other spots on the court including several outside/on the 3 pt line. Shook his hand and his fingers touched my elbow. Super nice guy and he maybe missed 5-10 shots out of the 10-20,000 practice shots he took that day. Took hours but we watched

That’s the accuracy he did mention this in the HOF speech how his Steve Francis instilled that into him and let’s be honest he needed to know people had his back he was in a foreign country seen as a threat to our league not because of his size but because he had hype behind him , he wasn’t like some no expectation guy and people were coming for him and he needed the courage and support to go out there and fight the opposition. Strong words were needed to make him the strong man he was .

@@christiantaylor600 they never played a back to back against Dallas. This was his 1st ever game against Bradley, and he destroyed Bradley. Bradley never messed him up. And technically, Yao didn't play like that from then on, because 2 games later he had 4 points in 27 minutes. Still waiting? Cause there's more about this that ain't true, but like i said, I enjoyed the story

Unfortunately he is..their very first meeting Yao had 30 and 16. It wasnt until later in the season that Yao had 6pts and 5rebs, then 4 games later had 20pts and 9 rebs.

Prayers for Shawn Bradley, he was paralyzed from the chest down a year or 2 ago, was a hit and run while riding his bike. Lady eventually came back, she was picking up her kid from school, speeding. She faced no criminal charges last I saw. Biking in traffic is not safe. People get killed all the time. Get a stationary or go to the state park.
