Not saying I approve of all of his actions but who are we to judge his life or the decisions he makes? He seems like a genuinely good soul that really appreciates the small things in life, you can tell by the detail that he gives when he tells a story or answers a question. +eastide He was talking about spitting on women in the bedroom and tried to justify kicking the girl.
@PlainSight.8 жыл бұрын
+lifestraight he wasn't justifying kicking her he was just giving a context to the situation and admitted that the way he's had to live throughout life has made it harder for him to adjust to a lifestyle where he doesn't have to be so aggressively in survival mode all the time. He said he doesn't need to be acting like that though.
@PlainSight.8 жыл бұрын
lifestraight I think he did apologize. He didn't say "I'm sorry" but he explained why it happened, gave a context to why he reacted that way, and explained how he had to confront himself mentally and honestly about why he shouldn't be acting like that in the position he's in. I don't know what you mean by apologizing to women in general though. If he got in an unnecessary fight and beat up an asian guy in the audience I wouldn't expect him to apologize to all asians around the world. Plus, I'm not really sure how that helps the situation. People only do issue public apologies to save their career. Did anybody who was initially offended by Donald Sterling, Hulk Hogan, Don Imus, Michael Richards, etc. change their minds after they made public apologies? People are going to think what they want, and the media most of the times isn't responsible enough with those types of headlines/stories. All you can do is be honest and as long as you learn from your mistakes and make sure that it doesn't happen again that's really all that can be done.
@lifestraight8 жыл бұрын
IamAsi94 I don't know if you are a fan of his or not, but you sound a bit biased based on how much you're defending him. Giving a context and speaking honestly is not apologizing nor is it necessarily expressing remorse for ones actions. The Asian example is a false equivalency. Asians all over the world are not oppressed by Black men, however Black women have often been the subject of abuse from men in general, but Black men in particular. Not because Black men are inherently flawed, violent, or more predisposed to violence, but simply because you are likely to be abused or hurt by those from within your community. That being said, maybe he doesn't need to apologize to women in general, but I suggest he does only because there may be many women who will see him kick a woman and maybe think that he feels its okay to treat women that way. An apology to women wouldn't be for the politcally correct reason of saving his career but for letting women know that he doesn't condone violence against women and that he regrets if that was the message that he sent to men and women.

I’ve never heard a rapper own anything like he did. That’s the realist cat I’ve ever heard in an interview. Just makes me want to involve his music and truth in my life. I grew up the same way and it’s cool af to hear a person in his position tell a honest story and take responsibility for any and everything in his life and path.

Gates the realest i already got 75% of the knowledge e shares but he still teaches me new stuff every interview almost and i can relate more to his spirit than anything but his words and song s too, young people could learn alot from watching all his interviews and really digesting what he’s saying to the world because struggle creates the burn inside your soul for peace and leisure and to learn lessons without having to imbark and reign through the struggle yourself and bear the scars that come with the package.

I am extremely impressed with Kevin Gates. He is very well spoken, polite, humble and he seems to genuinely be appreciative of what he has. Obviously he is a human being, and makes stupid mistakes just like 95% of all other males on this planet. That doesn't make him a bad person.

I don't fuck with rap anymore. I'm 37 yrs old. But this fucking crazy, amazing, real,beautiful man has given me a reason to listen to rap again. The only rapper that's even worth listening to. Never fucking change Kevin. You so fucking knowledgeable and beautiful. Fuck anyone who thinks otherwise. They just wish they could have it like you. Mothafuckas be hating because you had a relationship with your cousin. But deep down they wish they could have a relationship with anyone who would give them a chance. You could literally have any woman you wanted so for you to do what you did with your cousin. She has to be an amazing woman. So just keep it real like always.

He's fake. He contradicts his self too much. He said in one of his interview he never brags about what he does for his homies kids but he was on Instagram flexing with all the shit he bought them. He said in one interview that he wasn't black then went to another and said he was mixed with black. He fake but his music still good.
@yahamilyhuerta12768 жыл бұрын
+Kaitlin Mills you said it, he was not only black he was mixed with back wich means that his not only black and yuh his music is to put it out loud 👌
