I met Gates when he was being processed through the Stateville Correctional Center (NRC). I'm a bald headed white guy who fits the exact stereo type of a Skin Head. I have never heard any of his music or even heard of him. I think that is why I was assigned to conduct his intake interview. This man was one of the most professional individuals I have ever interviewed. He never threw his fame in my face, nor did he demand respect from me. Because of that and the way he carried himself, I felt he deserved nothing but respect. I just needed to say this.
