Amazing how Kevin makes simple yarns just hilarious. Nobody else can do this type of comedy. Shows you don't need bad language or offensive remarks.

First stand up whose act literally blew my mind. Who puts so much effort into losing the whole audience for 1/2 of a 10 minute set pointing out bland points of a bland image... only to turn the whole thing around in a line and revisit the first 1/2 in a different vein. That level of ability matched with that level of confidence. A landmark. In 1984 everyone liked Blackadder and/or The Young Ones. I saw him and had no reverence for anyone else for years if not decades.

"make love not war... get out your sex pistols and you can do both of them at the same time" The whole show is full of comedy genius, this may be his peak. I think Stewart Lee has borrowed a lot from this
@doggirldykery3 жыл бұрын
Stewart Lee in his book "How I Escaped My Certain Fate" mentions a lot of comedians who he loves and is influenced by and gives McAleer a shout as a genius
