@@louieatienza8762his hook is 22mph, most of the hardest throwers top out around 19 or 20. His average spare is about 27 and I believe he said that he throws spares up to 32mph every now and then.

My point was that it's ridiculous to see people, even Randy Pedersen, saying they never seen anything like this. And Randy was on tour when Eugene McCune, John Gant, and Robert Smith were bowling. And Randy was the announcer when Robert Smith was throwing fireballs, so I don't understand the revisionist history.

@@louieatienza8762 yeah, I've only seen him make a couple shows and was trusting Randy since he would be in a position to know. They used to have to use a stopwatch to calculate speed so it may just depend on what's official.

My average speed at a 10pin is about 23-24mph.. I bowled a local tournament and Kevin was on the pair next to me and he made me seem like I threw at my 10pins using a ball ramp for little kids 😂😂

I generally hit between 25-26 on 6 and 10 pin conversions and I know Kevin rolls faster than I do. There's no way he's only rolling 21 miles an hour, that estimate is way off

Back in the day when the tour stopped in Windsor Locks, Ct. I'd keep score and bowl in the pro-am. We'd ask each of the pros for a tip. Curt Schmidt's tip was "speed don't knock down pins". 😊

As for how it works for me, it works pretty well. 86% spare rate according to "my bowling ultra". it works well enough that I can hold my own with the pros that I compete with weekly in various tournaments.

Think with a 15 the fastest I recall was 27.5 and that was giving it hell, putting everything into it. Today....I'm good for 25.5 and that's all I have left
