Kevin McGeehan | Courageous: No | Moth StorySlam WINNER

A few years ago, Kevin found out something about myself that he always thought was true, but it turns out, wasn't. This is the story of learning how to navigate once you realize you're not who you always thought you were.
This story was the winner of The Moth StorySlam for September 2022 at The Cresent Ballroom in Phoenix, AZ. It was told in front of approximately 250 nice people and one drunk dude who kept talking during the story, immediately afterward was escorted out by security, and right before he was thrown out - unprovoked - called me a "motherfucker."
The Moth is a nonprofit dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. This just goes to show how much self doubt is not grounded in reality. You are talented, funny, smart, handsome, and kind. You were an amazing teacher when I took your class at Second City. I hope you are doing better now.
