Grounds for appeal? I realize that's a standard response, but I don't see how the verdict will be overturned.

It will be overturned when the NRA MAGATS ROLL into town

They can try to appeal for a lesser sentence

Considering the jury didn't seem to buy Monahan's story, I wonder what his defense attorney really thinks.

Lied to the police, said maybe it was hunter's in the woods, which made his " tripping over a nail" that much harder to beleive.

His defense are idiots. A trip and the gun went off defense? Twice? Right…

Also: he hasn't taken care of himself. Needs to lose at least 40 pounds and the glasses and also surgery for the jaw to make it more pronounced and less buccal fat to show the cheekbones. He's 66 but could look 46 with the right surgeon and steroids for physique

You're sorry for the result? What garbage
@damienzillas8 ай бұрын
Why on earth would the reporter tell the attorney that he was "sorry about the result"?
@michaelfisher13958 ай бұрын
It was a mistake.

@@joem5762he's a reporter. He isn't supposed to take sides. He wants to get them to talk. If he said, "you guys lost and you should lose, your client is a moron" they probably walk off.

"He was the only one on that deck that could tell us what happened." Yeah, and he had a vested interest in telling a story that kept him out of the pokey. Fail.

Unbiased? "Sorry about the verdict".

'Sorry for the result" not the reporters finest LIVE moment. yes, baked his fate with the 'sleeping lies'.

Stop it, please. It’s called being a professional. We need more professionals and less screaming MeeMees. Thank you!

Does anyone know what he meant when he said handguns and long barrels have different safety features?
@jasonkarov8 ай бұрын
The idea that handguns and shotguns (which is what Monohan used) don't have SAFETY mechanisms is total bullsh*t It's possible that the particular make and model of shotgun the killer used did not have a safety, but that's still no excuse for the absolute insanity of what this depraved killer did.
@philipdavidson96778 ай бұрын
It was a 20 gauge pump action shotgun. My shotgun has multiple safety features. The first is whether I pick it up or not. The second is a biometric trigger lock. The third is whether decide to chamber a round or not. The forth is disengaging the safety and the final is whether I choose the pull the trigger.
