I think keeping Jones and/or Akers at the right price could make sense. If we had more picks, adding 2 more RBs and making it a competition would be good too, especially if an RB can play special teams. But given how few picks we have, I think Jones, Akers and 2 priority UDFAs is what we'll end up with.

Eh I would only add 1 more. Akers is pretty young and I would rather take a late round flyer on a guard or DT than an extra running back

I’m hoping we can trade back in the first round squirting a round 2 pick maybe even a late rd 3 or 4, would love to get a rb somewhere in the first 4 rounds , you either grab a defensive tackle round 1 or an offensive line man and find the other in free agency , and then draft corner running back and best available

What many fans don’t realize is even though the Eagles have Barkley their offensive line is phenomenal. Their RBs average over 4 yards before contact. It’s not hard to have a great running game if you have a great offensive line. Suture up that line and Aaron Jones would be fine. I do agree adding a RB in the draft and re-signing Akers makes sense

Agreed. If we are gong to build the trenches, let’s do that. Getting distracted by feeling like we have to pick up an RB when we could get jones an Akers back cheap seems like a bad idea. Would much prefer we grab late round Guards or DTs then maybe get a UDFA rb if we must add one

It's the combination of the RBs & the O-line not playing to a consistently good level. We gotta upgrade the IOL & RB.

I think are RB room is ok, it’s the line that was the killer. Both jones and Akers showed burst in the open field and improving our online will do more to open up the run game than a shiny new RB

@ahastar1141 Considering how they couldn't break tackles & Aaron Jones kept being hurt, I think we need to upgrade a young back out of the draft to get ready to take over. Asking with fixing the O-line

@ cam broke tackles but a lot of broken tackles come at the 2nd level. Given that a lot of our backs were getting stuffed at the line level it’s pretty tough to get an opportunity to break tackles. I am ok grabbing a back late, but I don’t like the idea of spending a 3rd round pick on an RB if the IOL and DT positions aren’t taken care of. We don’t need elite RB play, we need solid blocking and a better goal line push from our interior. Lack of broken tackles is not why we couldn’t run the ball on the goal line, it was the lack of interior push

@ahastar1141 we definitely need to get an elite back. You can see the league is changing. Having a balanced attack is the way to go. And having an elite back only elevates to offense to compete with the best.

@ barkley is an elite back, but when he was on the giants he was barely able to show his potential. Going to a team with an elite oline has unlocked him. We can draft a back, but I guess I don’t see that as a higher priority than other positions where we absolutely have to hit on our draft picks.

He was the 2nd stringer to start the season but he wasn’t performing so they went and got Cam. I bet we cut him this offseason.

glad Kwesi makes decisions on personnel, because KOC doesn't seem capable to clarity at times. Jones good as a back up, 1 down runner. but need to get a true monster for the run game, or rely on akers and better playcalling for the run game than KOC has shown he is capable of.

Akers did look really good towards the end of the season. Good burst and ability to catch. He’s actually younger than chandler
