My favorite artist is 3 Doors Down, with their biggest phase being when I was a little kid. Their songs were emotional and deep, about strength, hope, love, being a good person, serving people and your country and appreciating those who do. It felt meaningful, and it reflected the values I was brought up with. That's why their music is still my favorite at 20 years old. I'm not hearing new music like that anymore.

After that there was just the worst most materialistic music coming out every week until around 2010 when genuine music from the heart started to make a comeback.
