One of the things that stuck out to me was that divorce records showed that one of his ex-wives made exponentially more that he did and he owed lots of back child support. He wore designer clothes and cologne, but didn't take care of his child. He presented the image of a high value man, but he was just an normal guy- just like the men he spoke to. Social media really is a bunch of smoke and mirrors and it is upsetting that even though he is gone, men still spew his anti-black women rhetoric. Oh, my goodness! Kevin Samuels was worse off than ME, of all people! At least I am renting my own apartment, have my own finances, and I definitely have more than 1000 in my emergency fund. I also don't plan to have a man in my life unless he is genuinely fitting into my life and has his own life like me. Also, I plan to work and have a job soon (in college, planning to go to graduate school), and I plan to move somewhere that I can get a house of my own once my finances are strong enough. And maybe a dependable car. The fact that you own your own house is proof enough that you are worlds away from Kevin Samuels. He and you aren't even in the same world if you ask me (you're in a stable, growing, progressing position and improving every day, while he can't even get his own place). I grew up in a huge football community and in my experience, all the men who cheer are always at least bi, except 1. My brother in law had a wrestling scholarship and got hurt while in college.
