I’m a 38 year old childfree black woman, and some of the stories a friend of mine who is a single black mother has told me about how black males have treated her while attempting to date has literally made me shed tears. She had all 3 of her children by her ex-husband but this toxic “kang” culture lumps all single black mothers in the same boat, seeing them all as merely one night stands and someone to abuse and use. The moment she sets boundaries with kangs, she said many blatantly tell her that she doesn’t have the right to have standards because she’s a single mother, telling her she’s only good for one thing. She’s been treated and spoken to like she’s a $5 street walker just because she became a mother in blackistan.

We have to stop birthing more black men…I’m 23 and from the jump in elementary school I was told by black boys that I was undesired by them. Single mothers shouldn't be looked down on period. They have to work twice as hard to provide, protect and nurture their families. The sacrifices these women have to make are hard. Nobody works harder than a single mother. They literally have to do everything on their own. Plus they have to deal with society telling them how much they could careless about them when they get toe tagged. Thats a lot of stress to constantly carry alone. I have one child. Married to her father for 15 years until i decided to leave. He just never gave me what i needed. Growth in women hood showed me that so i left. To spite me he disconnected with our daughter. No phone calls or check ups… nothing. How can one be so cold to their own child. My daughter is now 26 and has no relationship with her father. She definitely has abandonment issues that come from him. It’s just not the women that get hurt the children get hurt as well. That’s why i never had another child. These males are unpredictable and selfish and females are too. Plenty of cases where females use the child to spite the father. Bringing children into the world is a hit or miss even when you are married

This means healing is needed so we can come together properly, this does not warrant digression necessarily. you dont have to go outside to be happy, thats like same as the passport bros as far as im concerned and as someone who has absolutely went outside multiple times, i can tell you it doesnt mean better and i had the same love to give and the same love was unappreciated with the added ray-cism cherry on top. it means we gotta exact better boundaries so that the men we desire who look like us, can straighten up and act right. especially single moms cuz you got kids looking to you as an example, boundaries are necessary for the sake of your kids. and listen to how they talk, they tell you up front who they are and sometimes they'll even mask it in a joke, so take note of red flags and dont engage if it dont sound right, i dont care if the eggplant is good, he might not be, move him on out the way, next. i dont have to put my own down or not date them but its also ok to be picky about whom i date amongst us and its also ok to be alone until they act right and you have to demand they act right by standing firm in a no when he doesnt because we definitely are worthy. thank you angry, your content and your voice is necessary.
