I've often thought blaming Nash as booker for WCW's failure would be like blaming a pastry chef for the Titanic sinking.

Kevin Nash is real funny. And that alone made him a creative booker.

Been watching all the Nitros and PPVs from 1999 when Nash was Booker and there is some really good stuff. I wish Nash could have kept going because it's amazing the change WCW went through after Russo takes over. Go re-watch the Nitros in late 1999 they are terrible.

Kevin Sullivan is the type of booker we need to get great heels over so that the top babyfaces actually have good opponents and anticipation for matches. 50/50 booking is bullshit.

He’s hard to know. You watch them develop as people for a few decades, people start to think they know them. Kevin Nash would probably say “you don’t know me,” too a lot of people. There’s a lot of people who couldn’t do a drop kick that he has to listen to their opinions all day. So I understand that part of him. But, Nash is hard to know. Perception isn’t always reality because he knows that. It shows in his rebuttals to people’s said complaints.

Thank you Kevin Sullivan... It's about time somebody gives Big Nash his flowers... Diesel/Kevin Nash was ALWAYS one of my favorites... even when 3/4 of the fanbase was shitting on his work... c'mon... the guy's seven feet tall... what the hell do you want him to do??? Moonsaults and shit??? A dude that big can't, nor does he need to, do all that shit... all he's gotta do is look like an unstoppable beast. Look at Andre.... How many shooting stars you ever see him do? Undertaker could get athletic at times.. but even he was limited in how much of that high caliber top rope type shit he could do... and he's the damn phenom... Nash was always one of the best talkers in my book.. and he had natural swag... and he was smart... you don't normally get all that in a 7 foot monster,.

Wasn't Nash behind both ending Goldberg's streak and the infamous Finger Poke of Doom?

@Kaleb Smith You may be right. While Nash, Hall, and Sullivan say that Nash wasn't the booker, others (Goldberg, Apter, Ryder, Meltzer) disagree.

Nash blew his quad while booking!
@geneticfreak1693
@geneticfreak1693 3 жыл бұрын
Nash's quad is still alive and well. On the other hand Eddie Guerrero is dead. Chris Benoit is dead. New Jack is dead. Ultimte Warrior is dead. etc. etc. etc. so next time you wanna mock Nash for his quad he tore at 42 years old which he rehabbed and returned at 43 years old (and drew a bigger PPV buyrate with HHH than Goldberg vs. Rock) rememeber Eddie Guerrero's heart exploded at 38 years old because he was on the gas so he could make headliner money and because he died he failed to pay off his tax debts.

Hogan had plenty of moves. Just watch some of his matches from Japan. Hogan just never really wrestled in that style in the WWF/WCW. I don't blame him. Why do more than you have to when you're already a huge star? But this is also how Hogan picked up the reputation of being 'lazy' because he would only do so much during a match when in WWF/WCW.

Kevin Nash had to be the worst booker. Under his writing, there were feuds, heel and face turns that had no build up and made no sense. Also, the titles would change hands every other week.

I honestly dont understand all the crap Nash gets as a wrestler. Outside of Undertaker and Kane there hasn't been any big men in wrestling that even come close to Nash and Sid. He was a big dude and wrestled like a big dude. Honestly, I can't stand seeing big guys doing cartwheels and jumping all around the ring. Just fight like a big guy for f's sake. Strowman and McIntyre are good examples. If you weren't standing next to the guy you would never know they're only like a inch shorter than the undertaker. Baron Corbin is the only one that wrestles somewhat like a big man. Also about hjis move set. He had about the same amount of moves as Brett Hart. Hard had like what? The bump in the corner (you know, the one where he never turns around), the inverted ass drop thing, the kick to the ab and elbow drop. Oh and a snap suplex. Everything else was just fancy ways to hang onto an arm bar. Give me a break lol. Nash was definitely one of the best in ring and far better on the mic than Brett. I think a lot of these millennials just see clips of PG scripted Nash head to head with free form CM Punk (3rd best overall on the mic?) and think thats Kevin Nash. No kids. go back.. Go waaaaay back. When guys didn't need a script to talk on the mic.
