Every single senator about the review and vote on the Lacey Act needs to see this video!!!! So proud of Kevin!!! Many years ago, as a new trauma nurse, we had a venom presentation, done by Clyde Peeling at our medical center. The only thing I learned was to be terrified of snakes... and the only good snake was a dead snake. 😪😪 12 years later, 6 of them follow the work of Brian and Kevin- I am amazed by these beautiful animals and have so much respect for them. Brian has an infectious passion for sharing the love and beauty. While Kevin has both, mix with the mad scientist drive to never stop learning. Just watching Kevin you see the wheels turning in his head with every interaction he has with his animals. It makes my heart so proud!

@@NewEnglandReptile it's very true! And as a nurse, i have to comment on your "ADHD". I don't believe you have ADHD... not for a minute. I think you are driven by your passion. And i think when you venture into a situation where you're not utilizing your god given talent, you have some anxiety. You can tell there is something else needing your attention, more than some of the blog filmings or interviews. There is no way you could do what you do and have such crazy ADHD. Its passion! You're animal procedures and socialization techniques are proof of your solid ability to focus on what means the most to you. If you're not directly doing, giving, or making a positive impact... you panic a bit- because your passion is all you know and where your comfort is. My absolute goal in life is to find a man who looks at me with the same passion in his eyes, as Kevin does, when he is with his animals. 🤣

@@NewEnglandReptile love the video, and I hope senators and other Representatives See this video. Its very moving, educational and awed inspiring. These officers didn't show any fear, Curiosity Yes and this is to teach them if they Ever come across a situation like this. This is You,and Others one day Coming Full Circle,an you are spot on about the Turtle nesting sites being eaten by Raccoons/Possums etc them by smelling the Urine trails. No video I've seen online or TV tells me this fact. They only state either the Animal was hunger so it ate the eggs etc. But Nothing About Why it Sudden happened. You mentioned Snapping Turtles have Just About gone Extinct in Massachusetts, are they any groups they are trying to reintroduced those species back into the wild or their no hope for it RightNow?

Doing presentations like this is amazing. For Fish & Game that might encounter these animals, but also for just anyone! When I was in elementary school, there was a local guy call the reptile man and he would give presentations to schools about reptiles. I wish I had seen this years ago. I tried to help a snapping turtle across the road. First attempt tried lifting the shell, I swear it jumped to try and bite me. Second attempt got my ice scraper out of the car to try to shove it off the road, it peed on me and bit at the ice scraper. After 15 minutes I was so dirty and muddy and the turtle was no where near the other side of the road so I managed to get it at least off the road and go home. So glad to know pulling it by the tail will not injure it and keep me away from the snap. Thank you for all the educational work you do. So many more people need to understand how to help our native species.

Fantastic idea to have him teach the officers such important information. That be me at 2:26 on the left lol. I used to be TERRIFIED of snakes, couldn't even watch them on television without my legs getting all numb and tingly from fear. Everyone always told me learning more about them would make them less scary, but when you're looking at something, and all you can think about is how scared you are for no good reason, not only is it a mindF, but it makes it so I can't even think. I can't even begin to tell people how much these pet tube channels have helped me, specifically the snake ones, obviously. I started with more kid friendly videos, and now I'm here! I went into a pet store the other day to get some stuff for my grandma's bird, and I wanted to see if my fear was as bad in person, because I've only been getting comfortable via videos. I went upstairs, and found one of the cutest ball pythons I've ever seen. I don't think I'm at a spot where I'd be able to interact physically just yet, but it's amazing what education can do. I owe it all to the people that put their amazing snake care/ info on here.

I would have watched the whole program if you put it up here. Kevin is my hero for the way he teaches respect and connection with widely feared animals. He's definitely impacted my own views, too. (Working on my understanding of snapping turtles at present, as they are in my area and I am currently terrified of them!) Glad Kevin is getting this knowledge out there where it's needed most! It is hilarious though to see how the men are leaning away from the animals while the women are literally going toward them. I wonder if men tend to be more distrusting of reptiles because they're the ones who defended the tribes from dangerous animals in our evolutionary history....

Such valuable information. And law enforcement gets many of the calls about snakes that should go to a wildlife expert so they should know how to handle them. Hopefully this will prevent the injury or the death of some of these amazing reptiles. That Gaboon is huge. And gorgeous!!🐍❤️🐍

I love this so much, so many people hate snakes and reptiles just for existing. It’s so nice seeing the education and understanding for these creatures.

_Knowledge dispels fear._ This was pretty awesome to watch. They're very lucky to have someone as skilled and knowledgeable as Kevin teaching them the basics. You could practically see them all get drawn in and really become interested in what was being taught. Kevin has so many talents, public speaking is definitely another one. Just further solidifying his place as an E̶v̶i̶l̶ Genius Morph God amongst us mortals!
