I left it to the Road Dirt crew to handle their own video, content, etc. They pulled me in toward the end for a 5 min interview about tuning. Thought you guys may want to see it. More indepth tech on the subject from me coming in the future.

I worked for BUB when they had Rinehart. It is good to see the Rinehart still going after BUB.

That goes back quite a few years. I recall Dennis reaching out to me when he was first working on the very first 2-1 from Bub for Rinehart. That was around 2004 or 2005 I believe. We made some design changes and worked with Dennis to show that the true duals back then could back then could perform as well as the 2-1. I haven't spoken to Dennis since the split. Judd has done wonderful things with Rinehart as well since he bought it from Gerald. Great company.

Any comments on how the different baffles would effect the power and torque curves?
@KevinBaxter4 жыл бұрын
historically i have seen the standard baffle produce the best power averages for tq and hp in the 4" but this was their deal...a sound test. maybe power will come later.

I hear you about the Chevelle. My 57 Ironhead? Same way. Its the Christine of motorcycles. It keeps you aware. Goofy foot shift, hardtail, still running the mag. Stretched, lowered. Disc front and back. Springer and King-n-Queen seat. 9 foot wheelbase. Its the love of my life and one of the most " you better keep paying attention" bikes Ive ever owned. Sometimes Im in the mood for that. Know what I mean? Want to build it for show quality. Kinda the reason I hit you up on your last live stream about the ironhead rebuild. I'm a mechanic now and there's enough info out there that I think I could handle it. I just know you cant beat a man at his trade and think you just might be the shit

I realize this channel is all about Twinkies and M8s, but... Some of the older folks might recall the Alphabet 2 into 1 from back in the Pan Shovel days. Man, those things were bolt on performance. Of course, carb tuning (remember carburetors? ;^) was required, but back then it weren't no thing. We built a replica for my Pan/Shovel: with the duck cut end even. Mine has a baffle in the can rather than packing, but it too made a world of difference. I thought I'd have to jet down after the change, but I had to go up! It's not quiet, but it's not obnoxiously loud either. Yeah, I understand that with a cat, the cat is the tail wagging the dog. Bad, cat, bad, bad... Heh. I'm looking forward to the M8, Twinkie builds. Some of my friends ride Twinkies and I like to stay abreast of the new fangleds.

Don’t believe the hype that 2 into 1 is better, true dual won’t make enough power. Don’t believe you need to omit 02 sensors. Find a real tuner that knows how to map and tune Harley’s. My 2020 RGS has reinhart DBX 4.5’s with true duals and a certain cam with a certain tuner. It sounds sick as hell and will kick a lot of ass. 😊😊😊

Kevin, I’ve always have appreciated your videos as they are very informative. As a speed shop and specializing in performance engines, it’s disheartening that you are providing such content that holds no real performance. I think most are aware that this company doesn’t apply an engineering principles to this application. It’s sad to see this posted with your name attached.
