T-Mobile Revvl 5G in 2021 - (Still Worth It?)

Got the Metro version to replace an almost three year old Oneplus 6T. Just wanted something different. My intentions were to get an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Decided against it -- more money in my pocket. So far, I am liking the R5G. Haven't encountered any issues - was able to get rid of the Google Search Bar by using Microsoft's launcher. There were a number of other launchers which were also able to nix it but couldn't remember which at the moment. Thought there would be a noticeable change in performance coming away from a phone which had a higher processor power and more RAM - the 6T had 8. Nope, no difference in the few games or tasks. Actually, the R5G boots up faster and outperforms the 6T in a number of side-by-side tests. My only quibble is the fact that it will only be receiving Android 11. Granted security updates for two years, but still. Doesn't appear to being many custom ROMs floating around either. Was able to get a 14-day return and today 2/22/21 was day number 7.

I've seen a few reviews that say the screen is a little bit fragile and recommend a screen protector. To me that's just a good idea for any phone. $400 may not seem that much for a phone since some of the flagship phones cost $800-$1200 but $400 is still a chunk of change. Protect your shi....err stuff.

Here is my knowledge..... Any new phone: will be shitty pics 2yrs from now due to constant phone upgrades ( to keeo you spending $) This $300 phone: will do exactly yhe same as a 1200 iphone pro max/android phone. Why pay $1200+ on a phone that will be outdated by next year? Ill stick to paying for skydiving and riding dirtbikes. Oh my graphics: who cares, 6 months from now my phone is still free and your paying 1.2k for a phone that will be outdated by the time you pay it off thus keeping you in debt.

I agree with everything you said today's budget phones are not the budget phones of a few years ago where the expensive phones were far Superior to the budget phones some of today's budget phones are just as good as the $1,000 Plus phones but for far less money

@@boxerpit20061 One thing about this phone is I'm getting awesome battery life. I've gotten up to 3 days without recharging using the battery saver. I only let my phones discharge to 20% battery. That helps with battery life. It also charges very quickly, if you use a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 charger.

This phone is okay......I just switched from my 3a xl to the samsung a51 5g. Gonna miss the now playing, shake to flip camera, and squeeze features. But for the most part the a51 5g (long fuckin name 😒) is dope. Check it out

I have seen other reviews in which they state that the T-mobile comes with 128 I may be mistaken. From what I have gathered I am leaning more towards the Revvl over the Galaxy A32 . I currently have a Galaxy S9 and I am still pleased with it . I don't want to feel as if I am down grading .

@@danielguevara8318 exactly! I have an old phone, Samsung galaxy S7 but it feels that getting the galaxy A32 would be downgrading. The screen doesn’t look good, the speaker is sub par, etc.

I just got this phone last week. Still getting used to it. I don't regret it at all...although, I have wondered if I made a mistake by not sticking w/ Samsung, but that's only becuz I've had Samsung for the last 10yrs. I actually got this phone for free upgrade cuz I had my S7 for the last 5yrs 😱🤷🏽‍♀️. The only disappointment so far is that I wiped my sd card (& lost ALL of my IG backup 😭) to format it to this phone & it still isn't formatted as internal storage...I can't figure out why.

My husband had went to T-Mobile yesterday. He had gotten this phone for himself and Samsung A32 5g for me. We are enjoying both phones so far. Though , I am one setting up his phone since he is less tech than me and I was one who did deep research on best smartphones to fit our needs.😉

@@SoulhoodArt I do still prefer my Samsung Galaxy A32 5g over my husband. My husband does actually likes my phone better too. My phone is quicker respond in use , longer charge life , battery charges quicker and easier to use for my husband who is not technical comfortable person. That said , his phone is good in itself just not as good as my phone.

No fast charging. I have 2 and they overheat on idle with battery saver on and 5g reduced to 4glte

@@Dinokuninge Hello @Boby. I apologize for the late reply or response. The easiest route should be to go into System, and write the word "update." From there, select "System Update," it should be the second to the last option on the bottom. After you have done this, the phone should begin to look for any available update or updates.
