Kevin ... I am in absolute awe of your carving ability!!! I truly am. I am a beginning novice who is acquiring his initial carving tools and gear one piece at a time starting with safety glove, thumb guard and quality strop and polishing media. It would be an honor to have one of your figures for my small collection. Specially, would it be possible to purchase your “Whittling Buddy” figure? It would be a very prized addition to my collection. It would kinda be like my inspiration ... of what is possible and what excellence looks like. Either way, I love your videos and channel. I am averaging one video a day since I discovered you last week. Of course, I am proud to be a new subscriber. Thank you for sharing your talent, knowledge and experience with me and the rest of KZbin!!! That said, I’ll close. I sincerely wish you and yours all things great and good!!!! Take care, be safe, all my best and God bless!!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 🤠🐩🖖

It never stops amazing me how many characters you come up with from roughly the same size wood, Do the names come from people you know or do you have a name book? thanks for sharing.
@KevinCoates985 жыл бұрын
Thanks. A lot of the characters I do come from memories. The old timers I remember from when I was a kid
@dimidomo79464 жыл бұрын
Your attention to detail hinges on compulsion. One must have to whittle 100's of figures to determine where to place creases and cuts, etc. What % of wood is removed from the block until the 'fella' creatively emerges? Whittle on! 🍀
