It is in theory a very good concept - however unfortunately very unhygienic... Airing the bedding for a few hours would definitely be preferable from a hygienic standpoint.

You are right! You first air out your room, including the bed on which the blankets have been pulled way down. After about 20 minutes, THEN you make your bed. I cannor even imagine making a bed one has slept in all night without airing it out first!

I do make my bed early on in my day. I too am an early riser. I DO allow the moisture in my bedding to dissipate before arranging my bedding, a key point in keeping bedding fresh between washings which I do every two weeks. I change pj’s after 3 wearing which also helps keeping things fresh. I LOVE watching your channel. I wish I had not lost my exercise routine over the last few years,it really did serve me well. My life changed and I have found it difficult to reintroduce what I was doing back then to my frustration. If I am going to try some of your lovely recipes I MUST return to some sort of routine. YOUR CHANNEL may be the thing that motivates me sufficiently to begin 😊! Thank You Kevin, and yourlovelyvideographerfor ALL you both do 💕!

So nice to be able to add gardening to our days now that winter if finally behind us. Your Avery looks amazingly like my rescue dog Lucky who passed away at 13. I'm late to the comments as I just recently discovered your channel, enjoying it so much! Going to try several recipes and also using your technique for creating a fresh greens runner for my Thanksgiving table. I ALWAYS make the bed, but not first thing. My mom (born in 1930) grew up on a farm and she said the bed should 'air out' for a little while before making it every morning. Don't know if there is science behind this but that's what I've always done. Thank you for the day in the life 😄

Hi Kevin….my day runs similar to you. I start my day at 5 and always make my bed. I have a daily plan includes what needs to be accomplished and dinner plans. It’s a very flexible schedule open to a spur of the moment change. I am an afternoon reader so I always take time after lunch to enjoy the day and read. I have three dogs which I walk with other doggy friends after dinner. I usually get in about 3 miles. During the day, they have access to my large yard. I only watch Jeopardy and some UTube, then light reading and lights out by 11. Love your channel 🐾💕🐾

Thank you for this lovely snippet of life in the Jacobs' home! You asked if your viewers would reply with their morning bed-making routine. Lifelong dog lover here, and I have a new little four-legged rescue acquired after I lost my previous dog, a Jack Russell, to cancer last winter. For the first time ever I have a dog that prefers to sleep in! Previously, I wakened and rose at exactly 5:50 a.m. every day most of my life (without an alarm clock, no idea why it was so precise) but my terriers were fully on board with that. This little one, though, not so much. He much prefers to remain curled up in a fuzzy blanket at the foot of the bed until nearly 7 - meaning that bedmaking awaits his own rising! PS is that framed art Redoute roses?

Hello Kevin - I have just discovered you!! What a lovely find. I've been binge watching and have enjoyed every moment. I noted with interest that you enjoy a book at bedtime to switch off, as do I. May I recommend a lovely book by an english writer/cook/presenter called Nigel Slater. All his cookbooks are great, but the book that stole my heart and I would love you to read is called 'The Christmas Chronicles'. It is a beautiful book to celebrate the coming Christmas season with, or as someone described it as a 'hymn to winter'.

Hi Kevin, just a simple dressing you might like to try . It's called 3,2,1. 3 of olive oil, 2 of balsamic vinegar and 1 of honey. Its really delicious over salad and you can make teaspoons or tablespoons. Depending on how much you need. Hope you like it. I did wonder that you don't grow your own arugula and radish, they are so easy.

Hello Kevin, I just found your channel I was attracted by your tea sandwiches. Once upon a time i collected and used many beautiful things to set my table for dinners, and to serve a special tea for my friends.. My husband and I used to watch BBC series, such as “The Jewel in the Crown” and other classics each week at “tea time” I usually drink coffee, However.for watching BBC, I would prepare a fancy afternoon tea.It was fun. I do not make my bed in the mornings in the traditional way. I am a widow now, in my late 70’s and I have a waterbed. Sheets are the very devil to use on a waterbed. I have old injuries that are painful and I make my bed for comfort with quilts and blankets that only require shaking out and smoothiing. No mitered corners for me anymore I live in NW WA and it gets chily in the fall and downright freezing in winter, the heated waterbed keeps my bones warm. :)

Hi Kevin, I really enjoyed the video. You are such an animal lover, and people who love animals are the good people in life, don’t you think? Yes! I make my bed almost immediately when I leave it. We do not put the big “Ta Da” bedspread and pillows on the bed unless company comes, but we make the bed with the blanket and sheets pulled up and folded over every day. I have garlic chives growing perennially in the greenhouse. They are just fabulous in just about everything non-sweet. Speaking of sweet, that lemon bread looked Divine! I have to make that. Your garnishes had me going “Oh, oh, oh!” The rose petals just made it picture worthy. It was just the prettiest bread I have ever seen. I wish we were neighbors. I would have someone to share my baked goodies with as well. Thank you for the video.
